I know we all knew this already but here we are, being proven right yet again that Dems and Indies like Ron.

I'm so using these quotes when I phone-bank.

This is electoral GOLD.

I can't fathom voting for romney, santorum, or newt.

Ron Paul doesn't seem like an idiot. I'm a democrat, and I did vote for Obama, I don't think he's doing a bad job considering what he started with, but time will tell if it's good, or just good smoke an mirrors. Ron Paul, however would make me consider voting for someone else. All of my democrat friends are happy as can be about ron paul not being ahead in the polls. Because honestly, Obama is only offensive to the republicans. And they aren't putting any candidate that would even stand a chance against Obama. The republicans don't decide the elections, it's the majority of the people in the middle. When a Candidate, ANY candidate can make a member of the "other" party go "meh, he might not be so bad" There's something to talk about. Ron Paul is that person for the GOP, and not only do they not know it, they don't even care. I think it will be an interesting election time.

It's nice to know Dems support Ron Paul, but is your friend aware about the NDAA?

My mom has been a Dem for as long as I can remember. She can't stand Obama and likes Ron Paul. She would never vote for any of the others, especially Santorum or Gingrich.

Just wondering what do you guys say when a Democrat uses the argument that Obama had to start out with the crap leftover from Bush, so that's why he hasn't gotten that far. Also, what would you guys say if a Democrat said Oh and the GOP are always fighting with him, how can he get anything done when the majority in office are always arguing against him?

My mom has been a lifetime Dem until this election because of Obamas lies about Civil liberties and war. So when I showed her Ron Pauls voting record she changed her party registration to vote for him. I know a lot of Dem/Indy (more Indy) voters who have mostly not bothered with politics for quite some time because "they're all corrupt and they all lie" when I show them Paul many change their tune. I know quite a few Dems who aren't voting for Obama this year but won't vote for Rick, Willard, or Newt (sadly I haven't convinced them all to go Paul yet because of the stupid MSM lies, but I'm working on it)

I honestly think that the single biggest roadblock to Paul winning it all is getting people in both parties to actually read and make up their own minds. Each person I've convinced to do that says they'd at least consider Paul and many of them become ardent supporters.
Great quote.

Personally I just focus on social issues and slide into foreign policy. Obama promised to fix things like the "Patriot" Act and then extended it + signed the NDAA. He codified assassination powers, he breached international law with some of his military action and failed to follow up on his promises regarding war policy. His extended the US policing of the world and nation building which costs more money in a time when things are tight. All of those things are things he could have done differently even with a hostile congress and they would have improved both our economy and security. Then hit them with "did you know that W, Obama, and Romney all share major campaign contributions from corporations like Goldman-Saches?" There's a lot more but the simple guideline is this, if there is a political stance that Romney/Obama/"W" share it usually gives members of their own party pause to find out the details of how much they "play for the other team". (Now if only more folks would realize that the establishment is for more intents one party and not interested in helping the individual citizens of this nation... but that's a bigger fish to tackle :o )

I would say that the GOP knows it, but doesn't care.

They would rather lose an election than put up Paul against Obama because Paul would change their platform so much and ruin their little party.

A guy at work is a Dem. and we've had a fairly civil interaction over the past few yrs. I've been trying to get him to change his voter registration to vote Ron in our closed primary. When NADA came out I asked him what he thought. He thought it was terrible. I asked him the difference between Obama and Bush. He said Obama's a democrat. Big smile and a kiss on the cheek, I said by george I think your getting it.
