The Tea Party now supports politicians who favored bailouts and the ObamaCare individual mandate, according to exit polls and public declarations by major Tea Party organizations, in what could signal the death of the movement.

It died in 2009.

It died as soon as the establishment Republicans took it over in an attempt to seem like they were working for our values, but we aren't that stupid.

I wonder if people would take it the wrong way if Ron called the Tea Party "fake". I would label the article, "Tea Party, RIH".

I think 18-20% of folks who identify themselves as Tea Party types who still believe in small government and fiscal responsibility are alive and well and they are supporting Ron Paul.. The other 80% are just old fashioned Republicans of the neoconservative variety.

That comment above made me think; I would LOVE to have the honor of being a member of the Sons of Liberty. We should revive that group. Grandchildren of Liberty anyone?!

The Tea Parties can still make a difference in local politics. The reason it was never able to make a big difference nationally is because it is not a monolithic organized movement.

The Tea Party was hijacked by the neocon establishment long before the last election. The infiltrators were Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck--the demagogues, liars and cheats. They should be referred to as the Tarp Party!

Dr. Paul was smart to shift his campaign away from the Tarp Party.

The Tea Party jumped the shark long ago. The candidates the various factions have supported this election cycle only proves it beyond a doubt.

The tea party has been routed by the republican establishment.
There is only the Ron Paul/Constitution Revolution remaining.

I always thought that since the establishment infiltrated the Tea Party and everyone looked at it as a bunch of crazy old people, we should have left them to Tea Party and stole the GOP and relabeled us the "sensible Republicans." By do this we take over the GOP, brand them as looney as well and isolate them. Sorta of a Trojan horse move (Tea Party as the Trojan Horse).
