Oh good, we'll get to see Ron in the shot snickering as Romney and Gingrich rip Santorum a new one.

Ron Paul definitely needs to interject if the moderator passes over him.

Won't be as easy for Santorum to lie about Ron Paul when he's right next to him. He will have to look sort of uncomfortable if he does.

Ron is going to destroy Santorum tonight

Hasn't stopped him before. They've been next to each other before.

I wouldn't be so sure. When lies come out of Santorum's mouth, I'm pretty sure he actually believes them.

Yeah but aren't they closer sitting than standing up?

Ron will crush him

Wow, this looks real cozy. Hope Santorum is ready for this. Wait til we get a load of the beating he's gonna take...hahahaha

Ron's on fire this weather, I'd advise them all to be nice to him.

Paul seated in debate > Paul standing in debate?

Next to Santorum. Yikes.

At some point they are going to run out of people to put in between Ron

By the ice machine. What did you expect?

Anyways, yes Bruno, I think him being seated is better. Combats any height/posture disadvantage and Ron seems to do quite well in these formats.

Paul seated in debate > Paul standing in debate?

Usually. I think it's rough on him standing that long with his knees and all. He was in a great mood at that Luntz forum when they all were seated.

I'm curious what goes into deciding the seating order. Any insight?

RP needs to take out Santa in truth bombs. Grinch will also take on mittens and Santa, mittens will hit out at Santa also and Ron should have some quite waters from which to launch his barrage of truth bombs.

I predict we will own this debate tonight.

The only question was whether he's be seated next to Romney or Santorum. This is the better of the two options.

Any guesses as to at what point Newt starts crying about the GA debate?

I predict Ron will own it but Gingrich will be declared the winner by the media. Romney and Santie will both come out looking a little worse for wear, but not destroyed. Santie's fans will think everyone's lying and that they're all just bullying the good decent Christian on stage. But it might wake a few soft supporters up.

I feel bad for Ron. I don't think I could stand next to Santorum for two hours. Just watching him speak on tv is rough enough on me as it is.

I agree. The guy has to be the most boring person iv ever come across. He has a face you would never tire of slapping.

It's really more appropriate to put Ron to the right of them anyway :D

(stage right that is, for any of the nitpickers)

Guys/Gals, temper your expectations.

Voice of reason? We'll have none of that on rpf now. :) First we need to set expectation levels way beyond reality and then when there isn't a hands down victory we need to cry that the world is ending and we'll never recover, blah blah blah.

RPF debate drama is as good as any sitcom!

Temper expectations? Paul being the human incarnation of the Angry Fist of God come down from the heavens to smite the heathens a modest enough expectation for ya?

Like I said, all of us will think he dominated. Then the media will declare someone else as awesome and we won't hear hardly and mention of Dr. Paul at all. Then we'll all get angry and vent our fury about the media. Happens every time.

Sounds pretty plausible to me and wouldn't be an overall bad outcome if it does shake out this way.

I swear every single debate I think THIS IS IT!! This will be the one that he breaks out and all the world takes notice... and after each one, even when he does well, it just isn't enough.

I don't even watch them anymore. They will funnel gotcha questions and he will pass up alot of opportunities to wreck his opponents.

But "maybe" this one will be different. A birdy told me.
