Hello everyone!
I just wanted to let people know of my current project, WeSupportRonPaul.com (http://www.wesupportronpaul.com). At the moment, it consists mainly of static text (to supplement an advertisement), but that is going to change.
I would like the communities input in this project so it can be as useful as possible.
The Purpose
The purpose of WeSupportRonPaul.com is to engage potential Ron Paul supporters by having them ask questions about various policy points. This should quell potential fears over various issues. (The idea being once something is explained in a few different ways, a potential supporter might understand it better.)
Second, WeSupportRonPaul.com will, hopefully, show potential supporters that there is a large and diverse group of people who support Ron Paul.
The Process
At this time, the only means of interaction is through the /ask/ application, located at http://www.wesupportronpaul.com/ask. Eventually, the /ask/ application will expand to encompass the majority of the website.
The /ask/ application allows potential Ron Paul supporters to ask questions about points of policy, or why supporters are supporters.
The Roadmap
As stated, the only means of interaction is through the /ask/ application. As/If the site grows and expands I would like to implement various features:
Give the opportunity for registered users (those who answer questions) the ability to create a profile, with static link. This profile will consist of a short bio and the questions they've answered. The static link will give users greater interaction potential with people they meet canvasing or at rallies; they could hand out fliers that state "Ask me more at www.wesupportronpaul.com/ask/[user]", for example
I would also like to implement a live chat system, which would allow for users to hold more in depth conversations with potential supporters, in addition to the more static form approach.
Please give an honest opinion about this project, its goals, and its potential usefulness. I'm also looking for volunteers who want to be in the first round of moderators who answer questions.
Thanks!
