It looks like the grassroots in Ohio has been doing some good work there too:


The Ohio for Ron Paul campaign (not affiliated with the national campaign) is holding an open house for Ohio legislators at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday Feb. 21) at it’s Columbus headquarters. It will be co-hosted by Ohio Senator Kris Jordan.

So the Enquirer asked: what’s the purpose? Are they trying to get Paul some Ohio endorsements? Brian Doran, one of the organizers, told the Enquirer there are two goals:

1) introduce Republican leaders to Ron Paul and his positions. (Attendees will get a copy of Paul’s budget plan.)

“Although this could lead to, and we would certainly welcome endorsements, it could also just be support for Ron Paul on a particular issue rather than explicit endorsements – much like Sarah Palin and South Carolina Jim DeMint have gone on record with,” said Doran.

2) Introduce attendees to Ron Paul supporters, who are “very active in organizing,” he said.

” We played a major role in passing various issue campaigns and also work on local campaigns as well. No other presidential candidate has supporters opening their own campaign offices, running phone banking, etc.

We’ll also briefly let them know about Ron Paul’s approach to supporting other candidates at the state and local level.”

Maybe someone from Ohio could email Doug Wead about this to see if Ron could make a short stop there after Michigan?

I'd recommend Ashland, Ohio.......republican stronghold. Mansfield Lahm airport next county over has a nice long runway if Ashland County's isn't long enough.

Air National Guard base at Mansfield Lahm too...

(Mansfield tends to vote Democrat, though)
