View Full Version : Can we get RP on Craig Ferguson?

Craig Ferguson is a late, late nite talk show host in case you have not heard of him. He does not have near the viewers of Jay Leno or the other late nite talk show hosts, but I think his viewers are the type that would appreciate RP. Plus we could give my favorite talk show host a ratings spike :D

Any Craig Ferguson fans out there think this is a good idea?

any coverage is good. i think the more intimate setting of ferguson's show would be good for RP

Yes it would and I think Craig is respectful to his guests and would be as nice to RP as Leno was.

Truthfully? I would love to see him go on Glenn Beck instead. I think Beck's latest 'attacks' were a gauntlet across Dr. Paul's face to come on the show. I can see how Beck could act the same as O'Reilly or Hannity though, so I understand Dr. Paul's relutance and opinion of Beck. I would love to see Dr. Paul, Beck, and Penn Jillette for moderation :D

I think there are a lot of threads regarding Glenn Beck. I understand and appreciate your opinion but I think it should be in a Glenn Beck thread. There is no reason Ron Paul could not do both.

For this thread I would like to focus on Craig Ferguson and see if people think that is a good idea. Then we could start a very polite e-mail campaign. Craig Ferguson seems like someone who would pay attention to a surge of polite e-mails mentioning RP.

You're right of course. If I had a choice I would much rather him go on Beck's show, but that isn't the purpose of this thread.

Craig is a funny guy, he seems nice to all his interviewees and I've heard he goes out of his way to accomodate them. However, how is his show affected by the writers' strike? I imagine most of the comedy late shows are on hiatus right now.

This is a great idea (and I imagine some folks have been working on this already), though it could be a while before this becomes a reality due to the ongoing writers' strike.

On 10-31-07 Craig interviewed the Sex Pistols, who mentioned RP briefly, but positively:

Cool, I knew I had heard others liked Craig's character and was searching youtube for videos on that, but this is the first one I see. Much better IMHO. Of course he says politicians are fair game, but I'm sure he would probably just crack a few jokes with Ron Paul.

Wow, thanks for the links. It was awesome to see the guy from the Sex Pistols mention Ron Paul.
