The RP grassroots have received a bit of MSM coverage during the past few days and there has been quite a bit of griping about being mischaracterized. As much fault lies with these pundits for being misinformed, fault lies with us for failing to inform. The grassroots seemed to be focused on superficial attempts to "increase awareness." Posting comments in support of RP, the dozens (and dozens) of websites dedicated to money bombs, even the calls for full page ads want to say nothing more than one-liners. . . None of this really says anything. Even the tea party website doesn't say much. Sure it posts videos, but that kind of "informing" requires the viewer to take the time and effort to find out for themselves. It's like we're referring someone to an author or a book and saying, "you'll enjoy reading this." Why aren't we out there telling everyone the contents of the book? I'd rather see dozens of websites explaining RP's positions. I'd rather see one page ads spelling out what the movement actually stands for. We criticize other candidates for being products of soundbites, for lacking substance, but what have we been practicing these past several days? RP is finally getting some attention, he'll be getting more leading up to and in the days following the tea party. Let's get some real content out there!

We need to start making more in depth issue papers just for the media so they can understand Dr. Paul.
