The First Lady Michelle Obama and the First Dog Bo staged a surprise greeting of the public, during a standard White House tour on February 16. Unsuspecting members of the public were ushered into the room, filing in one-by-one, without knowing Obama was their host in waiting. “Surprise, it’s me,” Obama said as people slowly filed in unaware. One of her tour guests included a young man in a Ron Paul t-shirt. Paul is a GOP presidential candidate, who has been critical of Barack Obama’s economic and foreign policies.

White House journalists immediately spotted the potentially “awkward” moment:
