I see he has his running shoes on, I wonder if he even needs to exercise with all this campaigning. I know I would have to exercise just to keep this pace up.

I'm sorry but I'm positive he isn't resting there with a light stand behind him. He's going to be interviewed right there.

He should buy a more comfortable chair.

How is he able to sit there alone? I would expect him to be mobbed at all times by adoring supporters. I suspect they are getting ready for something and the supporters are waiting patiently off-camera.

What a strange choice. Picture of the week implies it's a picture of some memorable event or moment. That moment this week was not Ron Paul sitting by himself in an empty room, but Ron Paul in front of a crowd of 5,000 enthusiastic supporters.

Nah, PotW is often more artistic in nature. Look at the framing, the flag, the RP sign, the lights and of course, THE SHOES! Beautiful.

How I got my 100$ for the 5th.
I was to go out last week but my shoes was wet and I didn't have another pair to wear. My brother lent me a pair of his. Size 14. Anyway this women started to flirt with me and said what big shoes I wear and started to say about a certain anotomy with the big feet saying.
Anyway, In the morning when I woke she left me 100$ and a note. She said thank you for the night and here is a 100$ to buy a pair of shoes that fit.:D

Rest for the Weary
Republican presidential hopeful, Representative Ron Paul takes a short rest from campaigning at his headquarter in Concord, New Hampshire

The fact that Dr. Paul is the only candidate amongst all those pix (I flipped through a bunch of 'em), shows that Time Magazine is aware of the impact this man is generating.

Interesting fact about the chair of the oval office. The back part of it is bulletproof and the windows are bullet-proof/resistant!

They put that picture up to make him like a feeble old man, that has absolutely no chance..... why can't you guys see things like that?

The man is obviously VERY tired in that picture....

He wears those shoes because he's being run in the ground campaigning all over the country....

Ron Paul needs our prayers... and we need to show him appreciation whenever we can!!!

I think you need to be a little less negative. Many people will look at the picture and see what a humble, unassuming person he is, and that will inspire trust and curiosity about his support.

He wears those shoes because he had knee replacements, period. You say he needs prayers, I think he could do well enough with his supporters not assuming he's done in before he even gets warmed up.

Can someone on here please help me out?

I sent an email to Reebok when this thread came up, asking if they could tell me what type and from what year these Reeboks are. I included a link to Time's Picture of the Week and a link to the detailed pictures i quoted above (thanks inibo :) ). Here are the replies i got:

"I have submitted a request for that information. Your request ID number
is: xxxxxxx. We will contact you as soon as the information becomes
available."

..and yesterday i finally got this reply:

"In reference to Request Number xxxxxxx, regarding Ron Paul's Reebok
shoes, we ask that you please contact
Consumer Services directly for this information at 1-800-xxx-xxxx.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you, and
thank you again for contacting Customer Support at store.reebok.com."

So now it looks like i have to call them in order to get the info (that is, if they figured it out) but the problem is that i live in the Netherlands and i only have a cell phone and long-distance calls on a cell phone are really expensive over here (even though it's a toll free number (i think?)).
So if anyone on here would like to make the call for me, please to PM me and i'll give you the Request number & phone number that i blocked out above. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

It might be easier for you to just ask RP.

Of course i thought of that, but i doubt he would know what type he wears let alone from what year it is. Plus i didn't want to bother the campaign with this trivial question.

EDIT: anyway, somebody already contacted me for this. So people don't need to PM me anymore.
