That shirt looks very nice in person (love it), contrast to the so so photo. Got it last moneybomb, a great pickup. Will be donating later on. Probably also getting a second of this shirt for later on down the road.

Posting from my iPad now but my hubby and I donated 201.20 just after midnight!

No one but Paul!

I also emailed them and suggested adding a social media share suite on the donation page. I wanted to Tweet it but had to do it manually to share it. I also shared on Facebook. Even if you can't afford to donate right now, sharing the link helps enormously!

Doug Wead got the web team to implement the 'share on facebook' button so I bet an email to him about a twitter auto-share button would definitely be considered. His email = his full name (no spaces) @aol.com

Phew just +rep'd everyone in thread.. If you've ever worked at a resturaunt.. when you 86 an item or and order you essentially throw it in the garbage...

"Yo Mac!... 86 those mash potatoes on that steak tray"

Are you certain that is the case, and if so, how?

Any time a card is charged (whether it is a legitimate charge or not), the retailer/merchant/etc is charged for the transaction fee. Now if the transaction doesn't go through, is declined on the spot, then the merchant/retailer/etc is not charged. So when you mistype your credit card # on the donation site, it will decline it or say invalid info (something of the like) or if you are over the max. However, if it posts to the ticker, it went through. It charged the card. The transaction was made and the campaign will be charged the fee.

I am pretty darn certain. I was a part owner in a restaurant and we had online ordering.

Thanks for the response. I thought there may be an option to choose how you want your name to be displayed, but may it is to choose only to display it or not to display it.

If they do have to return those donations it is unfortunate, but I doubt people are doing it knowing that it will be returned and the campaign charged, more likely that they just think it will look cool or funny.

:) Thank You, Innovators and Early Adopters - No One But Paul - Money Bomb

MrTwisted (Dave) and I would like to the thank the individuals that supported the "No One But Paul" money bomb and specifically the few that
were actively promoting the theme for the past few weeks through videos, social networking posts, graphics, etc., big hats off to GhoeberX. :D

We want to especially thank those of you (Bruno, Anti Federalist and others come to mind) that planted early seeds and kept the NOBP message alive by constantly bumping that one thread that inspired Dave and I personally to build the NOBP site and others in the community to scream "NO ONE BUT PAUL"! There were times there in mid to late January where we faced some strong opposition to promoting the theme by the powers that be on the forum and by others, but this showed that even with all the obstacles that with tenacity, a strong and good message the grassroots can still move forward and bring about positive solutions to challenges.

Finally again I would especially like to thank those individuals that stuck with the No One But Paul theme and promoted the money bomb regardless of what else was going on the past few weeks, without individual efforts money bombs can not work, it takes each of us doing our part.

I can confirm that if the "merchant" has to process a return, they do not recoup the transaction fee paid to the credit card company. I don't know how much burden is placed on the campaign to look for names that are "suspicious", though.. Maybe there is another Whitney Houston in Florida?

You're most welcome, + reps to you both, and thank YOU!

The thought that a rant I had in a thread one day hit such a cord with so many that it turned into avatars, videos, t-shirts, and the theme for a moneybomb for Ron Paul has brought countless smiles to my face. To see that you and those you mentioned above put so much work and effort into this just shows what the grassroots is all about and how much we contribute to Ron Paul's success and to the overall liberty movement.

Thank you, Orenbus, Mr. Twisted, Anti-Federalist, GhoeberX, Elwar, and the all the countless others who kept that thread bumped and who contributed their energy, creativity, and support in promoting the No One But Paul moneybomb! :)

I am new to this money bomb thing but does it get better? I expect things will pick up a bit in the evening hours as more people are home, but this really is embarrassing. Even if the last 6 hours of a day match the first 18 hours, it will be just a quarter of the goal. I didn't really expect $5 million, but when I checked after getting home abut 15 minutes ago, I expected to be closing in on $1.5 million or so now.

If this doesn't pick WAY up, it pretty much ends his campaign. He simply won't have the money to do anything.

So WILL this start picking up? I just checked and see that it is going up by only about $1000 a minute which wouldn't even bring it to $1 million by the end of the day.

I think part of the problem is the site is PAINFULLY S-L-O-W. I think if they are going to have these moneybomb days, they need to make sure they have the bandwidth of handle the increased traffic.

The campaign is somewhat more main stream now when it comes to fundraising, so I wouldn't call this a campaign ender by any means. That's also why he see totals not as large as say, the Tea Party MB of '08.

Dr. Paul is also extremely economical when it comes to campaign expenditures. Of course, I'd like to see it much higher to help put ads out in Super Tuesday states!

My understanding (and ohters may know more) is that there are more funds coming in more often this cycle so the one day totals are not as high because just like the officially campaign tactics this year it's a marathon not a race. At least that's the perception I've gotten from comparing the things I saw in '08 with this time around.

Rachel Maddow: Ron Paul Has Something Big Up His Sleeve (http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2012/02/rachel-maddow-ron-paul-has-something.html)

Rachel Maddow is the first person among the mainstream media tv types to stumble upon the fact that Ron Paul is doing extremely well in these caucus states, and may very well have won them all or at least the majority of delegates so far via the delegate process. In this clip she basically figures it out, while Doug Wead comes on to confirm her suspicions.

what do you mean by more mainstream? aka, why aren't totals as high as 08?

Totals are much higher than 2008 every quarter so far. Moneybombs are more frequent and less hyped than 2008.

I just donated $25.00 to Ron Paul to help Restore America Now! You can donate too at www.ronpaul2012.com.

Honestly, I'm sure many of you know how I feel, but without a regular job for the last year, it gets me down a little that I can't give more cash to support the cause.

No problem. Hopefully that is the case. I can't say I know the laws/rules/etc regarding campaign contributions, I just know the campaign will be charged the fee, so hopefully they get to keep the money. 50 cents here and 50 cents there adds up. Whatever the charge is now.

I don't know if this is true, but this comment claims that in 2008, Obama donors got around the $2,500 per person limit by using pre-paid credit cards, presumably under a fake name. I wonder if the same thing is happening with the other 3 Repub candidates now,

http://www.talkleft.com/story/2011/4/2/212220/2233

In 2008 the Obama campaign accepted multiple donations of under $200 from prepaid credit cards with no verification as to who the donor was...

My understanding (and ohters may know more) is that there are more funds coming in more often this cycle so the one day totals are not as high because just like the officially campaign tactics this year it's a marathon not a race. At least that's the perception I've gotten from comparing the things I saw in '08 with this time around.

Maybe...but I would be willing to bet that if you added up total contributions in 2011-2012 and 2007-2008 up to mid-February, it was considerably higher in 2008.

Back then, there would b a moneybomb goal and it would often be surpassed.

But again, today was kind of embarrassing despite sort of putting all the eggs in one basket (surely contributions were WAY down the last couple weeks as people were saving it until today to send a message) it will finish under $1 million. Or about the same as Santorum spontaneously got after sweeping the 3 states a couple weekends ago.

I mean..this isn't even $1 million of usable money for the campaign. Some were sales that you have to factor in cost to the goods. And many were such small amounts that the transaction fee is a significant loss.

This money could be gone before Super Tuesday. I don't care HOW economical he is. If he is going to go all out to try for Michigan and Washington, tthen there won't be much left over for Super Tuesday. And for momentum, Super Tuesday matters MUCH more than Michigan and Washington.

My memory of 2008 must differ from yours, as best I can tell we're much better funded this time around than in 2008. /shrugs
Regardless of funding we're averaging more than four times as many votes per state in 2012 (and that's votes, delegates we're doing even better :D )

Now is the time to strike and honestly it's been getting more and more postive over the course of 2012. Sure it could be even better sure I'd love it if the corporate media started giving fair coverage and we started picking up more 1st place finishes in the beauty contest polls but Paul is leading in general election polling, he's got the delegates in a good spot because this year we're better prepared and educated from the mistakes of 08 and he's finding more traction within the GOP than last time around. If our fund raising numbers are down (and I don't think they are) it's because of the horrible state of the economy.

Do what you can with means that go beyond money and thank you for standing for liberty.

Everyone lets remember (as if any of us could forget) how much hardship so many are already suffering due to these failed policies put forth both both parties of the status quo and take every means at our disposal to stand up for our nation, our selves, and each other.
