I've mentioned her before here: Props to my Girlfriend (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?356865-Props-to-my-Girlfriend.....)

She and I were just now discussing a previous post that pointed out how the Romney Campaign purchased "Ron Paul" as a Google ad word, so his website shows up at the top of Google when someone searches "Ron Paul"
See: Romney bought Ron Paul ad words from Google (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?360574-Romney-Bought-Ron-Paul-adwords-from-GOOGLE)

She indicated it's a genius strategy and from an analysis the ad word is only $1.09 per click, especially considering "Ron Paul" is the most googled candidate.

She then noticed that Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate NOT purchasing ad words. ALL the other candidates are purchasing keywords. If someone wants to google "2012 Presidential Candidates", for example, Rick Santorum is at the top of the page.

She indicated the Campaign or Grassroots should really consider purchasing ad words. Just putting this out there......

Think adwords if done right can be effective.

Buy some derivative terms for Santorum/Newt/Mitt...then create a link that says 'End the Fed'. Links goes to a simple one page website with bulletted truth bombs against the Fed...and at the bottom there could be a statement that says only one candidate is prepared to stand up to the Fed - Ron Paul.

I think that could be popular...and effective.

What about the potential for fraud? What safeguards are there against an opponent draining funds with a ton of clicks?

Someone had mentioned in another thread that you could cost Romney money by doing this, but I doubt we'd put a dent into his funds like they could to our limited funds that we need going elsewhere just as much...

It's a nice idea though, if someone can convince me that it wouldn't cost the campaign more than it was worth....
