From a comment in a news article, I stumbled upon this document:

Save it to your computer.

Here's the first two counties...
note that the second county has 0 reported votes (I don't know if this is simply because they didn't hold caucuses) but the totals at the bottom imply this is complete.

It's more than just Aroostook and Washington counties. Large number of precincts are 0'ed out...

Aroostock is in there. They give the county total at the top of the list (137 total votes).

This is my personal contribution sourced from a web map. My totals match the reported results exactly.

https://docs.google.com/demo/edit?id=scAA9fYphgbU2FcFiJWrOOyu9&hl=en&dt=spreadsheet#spreadsheet

Edit: I checked the first county and the results I posted seem to have more votes than the pdf posted by the OP.

HMMM, now that *is* interesting....that is the one county that Ron Paul won in Maine in 2008....wtf is up with that?

I'm going through reported totals on this forum. I do NOT know if the source is correct.

First oddity found
from thread:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?360226-Maine-2008-Results-vs-2012-Results-%28so-far%29&highlight=Androscoggin

According to that thread,

Auburn was:
Auburn:
Rp 50 Mitt 40

According to the GOP, it was RP 50... Mitt 44.

Where did those 4 votes come from?
Can we get official confirmation from someone at the Auburn caucus as to the total?

4 votes here, 4 votes there, adds up to 200 pretty quickly.

Gonna keep comparing.

I checked and roughly 130 precincts had 0 votes??? This does not count Washington County nor Aroostock and their odd grouped results.

Waldo county looks especially baron.

from same thread:

Waterboro Maine:
Today: RP 14, MItt 4, santorum 3, newt 0 .

According to spreadsheet, Mitt got 5.

That's 1 more additional vote for Mitt compared to early reports.

Is that likely that no one would vote in some precincts?

... Aroostock and their odd grouped results.

Aroostock is the largest county east of the Mississippi, and is ultra isolated. As such, the county held 3 caucus events in 3 sites on Feb. 3 and 4.

They probably grouped this county's results together as they did, rather than give a town-by-town breakdown like other counties did, simply because people from literally 6,000+ square miles were caucusing. Aroostock is larger than the state of Connecticut.

So Aroostook County has a vote total but its precincts have zero votes? Huh?

2180 2001 986 352 61 5390
40.45% 37.12% 18.29% 6.53%

There might be an error in there somewhere, but I got these as the totals from the PDF. It looks like the PDF represents 134 less votes if my numbers are all correct.

wait. you're saying the PDF doesn't add up correctly to it's OWN totals?

Aroostook County total 26 81 17 13 0 137

These would be the totals from all the precincts in Aroostock County gathered over the 3 caucuses on Feb. 3 and 4, is my guess.

The 3 caucuses hosted many multiple towns simultaneously, given their very spread out nature, and this is likely why they didn't give a town-by-town breakdown. To wit, check out the link:

affa, as you go through, check belfast and (south portland) somerset. a few forum members pointed votes in those areas being wrong.

(one guy on the forum said he and his wife were the only 2 at the south portland caucus and their votes weren't counted by the GOP on the official sheet.)

good luck!

wait. you're saying the PDF doesn't add up correctly to it's OWN totals?

The values in the total column are not correct. For example Bangor Penobscot had a total listed of zero when there were 77 votes listed. So the totals column does not accurately reflect the sum of the other columns, and of course the sum of the totals does not match the vote count listed. If I ignore the totals column
and sum each vote I do get the listed vote count of 5585 and the totals of 1996 and 2190 for Paul and Mittens just like the reported results.

What is different is the vote count.

Total from the web map is 5524, the total on the PDF is 5585, the number of votes for Ron Paul and Romney are the same from each resource. That's a difference of 57. I thought maybe the write ins made the difference, but I counted 61 write ins so I'm not sure where the difference came from. It's not enough to make a difference, but it is curious.

Is there any sort of organized 'caucus result' page set up for Paul voters to report their local results?

As documented above, some districts already don't match the early reports.

Kennebunkport is a Bush hometown right?

Yeah Kennebunkport is sort of like the "Hilton Head" of Maine. It's a wealthy area where Romney could do well.

It is certainly possible. After all, this is Maine we are talking about. However, I would think that at least 1 person voted in the precincts held at someone's home/

need to do some investigation here. If we find hard evidence of fraud and broke the story it would be big.

Maine has some serious boonies when you get west if I-95. Yes, I can imagine there being precincts with no votes.

No real surprise there - Kennebunkport and Cape Elizabeth are probably the two richest towns in the state.

Regarding the Aroostook County results, there is nothing funny in the numbers. It's a gigantic county (area-wise, certainly not people-wise) that had 3 'regional' caususes that were attended by multiple towns. Hence, there is no individual town data. I suppose the state GOP could have listed out the results of the 3 individual regional caucuses, but they chose group them together for a county total. Nothing unusual about that IMO.
