Even the official Paul campaign has claimed shenanigans:
http://www.ronpaul2012.com/2012/02/11/ron-paul-victory-in-maine/

"Paul performed well throughout the state, although his campaign’s stronghold of Washington County did not report today for inexplicable reasons. Congressman Paul was barely bested by Gov. Romney by about 194 votes, a margin the campaign is confident it will make up with the 200 plus votes expected to come out of Washington County’s caucus."

paul/wead should more assertively call the GOP out on these "shenanigans"

Wouldn't it make 10x more sense to promote a "tied for first" story? We want something positive, not something whining.

Well ill be the first to say obvious shenanigans took place too, but....just how many votes are in Wash County? Like i mean, an approximate total? If its 'just over 200', that is not going to be enough, as Ron would have to win virtually all of that. It would need to be something like 400, because ya'll just can't assume all of those people voted for Ron. There will surely be Mitt supporters in there.

Yea, well, we really didn't tie. Sure, it sounds good, but in the end, last time i checked, 39 is bigger than 36, and in no math expert. I think even Herman Cain would agree.

Thanks for the support. Not seeing the post in the "New" queue, does anyone else? Looks like we have some corrupt mods on that subreddit.

Ok, nm, i just seen how many voted in that county in 08. No way it is going to be enough even this year. It was under 200 last time, so don't see how this is going to make up the difference.

I was accused of "editorializing the headline" in the original link. No reason yet given for why this new post was removed from the /new/ queue. What a load of santorum...

last time means nothing and your not counting caucuses that haven't even happened yet.

Wait I'm so confused, so does that mean Washington County will be counted later when they vote or are they not counting it at all?

Essentially, yes. The caucus results are only for events taking place between Feb 4th and Feb 11th. All others appear to hold no weight in determining the caucus winner.

Then what the hell is the point of voting anyways if it's like straw poll?
