Virginia: Deadline to register to vote is Monday, February 13

TODAY, Monday, February 13 is the deadline to register to vote in Virginia.

You can hand deliver the voter registration form at a public library, DMV, or local voter registration office (find your local office in the voter registration form).

If you mail the voter registration form, make sure you include a copy of a document that includes your name and address (ID, utility bill, bank statement, etc.). Also, it MUST have a postmark of February 13 or earlier.

There is NO party registration in Virginia. Everyone is just registered to vote.

Virginia is an Open primary. The primary determines who the first round of RNC ballot is bound/pledged to.

They will have to change their registration to participate in the Unit meetings though, which is the thing that matters for choosing delegates in VA.

There is no party registration in Virginia, so the answer to your question is that it is a deadline for new voter registration only.

There is no party registration in Virginia. Everyone is just registered to vote so this deadline is for anyone who needs to register to vote in Virginia.
