I was playing on the FEC website. Now, these numbers are only through 2011, but I looked up my VERY RURAL zip code to see who was maybe a closet Paulian, and of all the candidates, he received the most support financially, both in amount and number of donors. I was certainly surprised. What I absolutely LOVED, was that Romney had 0 contributions in my area in 2011, and Santorum (our ex-Senator) only 1.

Have a look. Fun.

I have a problem with that map. I clicked on my zip code and only one guy gave $100 to Ron Paul. I know for a fact that I have given at least $150 and they didn't even show my name. That map is not accurate.

I too have been having a hard time finding an accurate map of donations. I do know that you have to give over $200 for it to be reported to the FEC (and thus reported via these reporting websites...) but I have given more than that and I can't find my donations. Which, in the end, may be a good thing for me if I'm a stealth delegate... :)

My zip code has 20+ donations for Paul (~$1000 total) and 3 donations for Obama ($125), none else.

My donations do not appear for this term or 2008 even though I donated more than some listed. I did not think individual names were to be reported unless the amount was over something like $250. Many on the list appear to have donated less than that and are on the list; some as little as $40 one time.

I think campaigns just don't have to report names on donations under $200, but some do.

Yeah none of the people I know gave money are on it, including me.

The site shows 18 donations from me in the 2012 cycle. It shows 0 in 2008. I donated lots that time too. Very weird.

Yeah your neighbor's donation to Cain didn't even cover the cost of the gigantic image of Cain wrapped on his mega bus, egomaniac.

Only two people in my zip code donated to Ron Paul, me and another guy who gave $2,500 in September. Then a bunch for Obama. and only $400 for Newt.

I checked my city, and the two candidates that got the most money are Ron Paul and Obama, with only $400 to newt. No one else got any donations at all.
