I suppose it makes sense, as we are legally obligated to enroll our children in the public school system or risk losing them to CPS as an alternative. Even taking children out of the public system to homeschool can be tough, but they allow religious exemption for children who's parents write to the school board saying that they wish to remove their children from school based on religious grounds. After an investigation, the school board will release the children to be educated by their parents instead of the public school system, so at least we still have that, for now.
