I was thinking the same thing. He had to stop and reword it. Nice to see a little pro-Ron Paul slip.

This should be very interesting to see him give a shorter caucus speech for a change! Sure to make people change their minds at that location.

Is RP speaking at the Maple Grove caucus right now? The crowd is clapping an awful lot for generic pre caucus GOP talks.

I'm going to ignore those very early caucus numbers CNN just reported... Surely this will turn out to be a respectable caucus.

Not yet, they said they would cut in.

Too much unanimous applause, at least some people would not clap in protest if Ron was speaking, even if they agreed with him.

Ron up in 6 or 7 min

Other surrogates speaking first, Ron last and then caucus discussions begin before vote

Man, I wonder what Ron is going to say.

I was a little underwhelmed with the speech that he gave to that one Iowa caucus... hopefully he speaks strong, talks tough/alpha and invites them to 'change history tonight' with their vote.

Go to Cnn, should be a live stream

Okay, I see it. "Maple Grove, Minnesota Caucus." But it is only showing "Stream continues shortly."

Oh please ... Ron needs to understand his audience. By definition, this is the most diverse audience he has delivered a speech to this election (since usually, his events are 90% current supporters).

One "I hope you can vote for me tonight"... that's it??

Jesus.

Doom and Gloom is great, as long as it's followed by SOLUTIONS that offer a LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE

Jesus.

If you can't see the difference in his speaking there and in his recent foreign policy discussions then you simply cannot see the good in things. For his style this is as aggressive as I've ever seen the man, and he came off with an air of knowledge and confidence.

And no, Jesus didn't beg for followers either.

I feel redundant for some reason.

yeah man... no need to mention how he polls against Obama (since beating Obama is the #1 "issue" for a majority of voters).

And certainly no need to charmingly disarm their #1 misconception about him - re: Foreign Policy ... "now, I understand that there are a few of you out there in the audience who love my domestic policy but think that my foreign policy is ... what's the word all the other candidates use... oh yes, dangerous... and that is why you're still considering the other candidates who won't reign in spending and big govn't to the extent that I will. Let me just say, here and now, that ::insert tough/gruff/stern explanation of how Ron believes Defense to be one of the chief roles of the federal govnt and that under a Ron Paul administration, our nation will be more secure and more safe.. etc. etc.")

Whatever, what's done is done... hopefully we win that precinct

I was also disappointed that he couldn't shift out of stump speech mode.

They need to recast him in dialog mode from here on out.
