Col. Lawerence Wilkerson? Was that his name?

He just said we couldnt maintain our forces in Iraq. Said that the military is giving $35,000 sign on bonuses to try to keep Capt's.

Yes, Lawrence Wilkerson. Have you seen No End In Sight? He's featured prominently. He was chief of staff to Colin Powell.

its not sustainable for more than another year...atleast the presence we have there now.

Thats funny about the re-up bonuses for captains. I was in the air force from 2000 to 2006 and they gave $50,000 re-up bonuses for ENLISTED programmers until 2005 when they lowered it to 0. Of course that was 1 year before my enlistment was up. The main reason for removing it was due to the war costing so much they said. Guess they didnt account for them not going to have anyone left in the military after that and now are reinstating the bonuses a little too late.
