I've been pondering this lately.
I mean, he would've been a spry 65 years old and his foreign policy would've been in line with the GOP talking points.
I wonder what would've come of this?
I think our coalition today would be a lot different and the MSM and establishment would have attacked him primarily on his social stances as well as his ideas on monetary policy seeing as "conservatives" believed in "aggressive monetary policy" at that time. I highly doubt he would've won but it's an interesting scenario to ponder.
