I gotta go with Kucinich on this one. Yea, he's progressive in a way I am ideologically opposed to. But if he were going against Romney, Gingrich, or Santorum, I'd have no choice but to vote for him over them. Just wondering who y'alls favorite Democrat is at the moment.

Edit: I mean current Democrats. If I'm gonna pick my all time favorite Dem it would probably be Andrew Jackson. Just because he was crazy and kinda awesome in his way. But yea, for further reference I mean current.

Bob Conley (http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/21520.html), who ran against Graham in SC.

Sad. It's not about principles, but TEAMS.

Also sad about Feingold (http://original.antiwar.com/vlahos/2010/11/22/giving-thanks-to-outgoing-sen-feingold/), who I was hoping would challenge O Duce, but who also appears to be more about TEAMS than principles.

Kucinich is a sell-out. See his YAY! vote on Barry's Big Fascist Medical System.

Never Kucinich. I have vowed never to vote for a collectivist, even if they are on the money with foreign policy.

I do not know any democrats that closely enough espouse my ideals. If they are democrats, then I know one thing, there is at least one issue that we will be on opposite sides on. Social programs. (At least a good portion of the democrats I have learned about believe it is the Federal Governments role to provide for people)

Otherwise I respect Kucinich a great deal for having the balls to push legislation forward that other will not, but inherently him and I disagree on some fundamental things.

I disagree with him on many things, but I disagree with most republicans on even more things. Most democrats are basically the same as the republicans as well, they just point the finger in the opposite direction.

Do people here hate Republicans just as much? If not, then I don't get it. I haven't seen a notable difference between the parties in as long as I can remember. It's always these subtle differences in policy that generally aren't acted upon. That and empty social rhetoric. Just trying to get a real feel for this ideology here. Most of us are paleoconservatives/libertarians it seems. So the Republican party is as against us as anyone else is.

Isn't he dead? I think he passed in August, plus he was a Canadian NDP.

I do not have a favorite democrat or republican they are mostly establishment scum, except NOBP.

Jack Layton looked exactly like former Greek prime minister Papendrou.

Jim Traficant for the win! Guy was just too real for the Democratic Party though, and he got railroaded out of Congress.

Dennis Kucinich is pure evil in his philosophy. He is an enemy of this country.

Honestly, I cannot think of one Democrat in the 20 years I have been voting that I would say "yes" too. They are traitors by default. I could probably say the same for about 90% of the Republicans.

Kucinich is probably the most principled among them; for that, he deserves my respect. But I would never vote for such a collectivist as he is. And, yes, I dislike neoconservative Republicans just as much as I dislike progressive Democrats.

lol, fun stuff. I know we as a general group dislike most politicians to begin with. I'm not really asking who you would vote for. Different people differ on voting policy. Some people will vote for a lesser evil, others will only vote for someone who expresses almost all of their views. Just asking who you like. Like who you would love to sit down, have a conversation with, and learn a thing or two from.

I was going to reply with Dennis Kucinich but I saw an interview of him on some business channel where he on on to present some new proposal to lower unemployement and his proposal was a lowering of the retirement age so more people can retire and start collective SS benefits, the logic behind it is that with new people eligible for retirement benefits and retiring, younger workers would gain employment and unemployement numbers would go down. Now I cannot in good conscience support him anymore. Yes he is right about the Patriot act and the foreign wars. Nevermind, I pick Dennis K, hes the best they got.

Talking about the evil republicans, did anyone see the commercial Jeff Flake put out touting his achievement of banning ear marks? Why are u celebrating when the ban did not affect the size of the US budget. This reminds me of the no tax pledge by Gover Norquist, you can pledge never to increase taxes while saying nothing about increasing spending, we all know who is expected to pay for all the US spending and how they plan on collecting.

Both sides suck and thats why I support Ron Paul

It would be a long list, depending on the cutoff. A name I haven't seen mentioned, but a man I do admire is Leo Ryan.

"In 1970, he investigated the conditions of California prisons by being held, under a pseudonym, as an inmate in Folsom Prison, while presiding as chairman of the Assembly committee that oversaw prison reform."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Ryan

He was murdered while investigating Jonestown in 78.

A big shout to James Traficant as well. Also Kucinich and Gravel. And of course Larry MacDonald! And the men from an earlier era like Grover Cleveland, etc..

Currently: I literally have none that I like. Unless we go to the State level, I can find a bunch of good Blue Dog Dems. Besides that, I have no idea.
