but if so, why can't he replicate the phenomenon?

maybe I should put this in hot topics. He at least recommends respect, although in a way that doesn't hurt his neoconservative (neolibertarian?) sensibilities....but it is back up stuff.

W.A. Root is no libertarian. If you could compare him to anyone it would be that he is the Romney of the LP.

He comes across as one of those extremely annoying armchair psychologists in this article.

No need for hot topics, it was a very good article.

For those wondering about Israel, Root has said elsewhere that he believes all foreign aid should be abolished, including to Israel, but says their aid should be cut off 5 years later than everyone else b/c he thinks they'll need time to prepare their defenses and b/c he considers a stable Israel is a good ally for the U.S. in the middle east. Agree or disagree, that's his position. Andrew Bacevich (who was on the Peter Schiff show today hosted by Tom Woods BTW) agrees w/ Paul on non-interventionism and closing down foreign bases but says a few of them should remain b/c they stabilize the region.

So just remember that one can be a Ron Paul supporter but still have a few differences of opinion, especially on hot button topics like foreign affairs.

One can be a socialist and still support Ron Paul too! ;)

Yes but the whole idea is that we need to compromise, Ron will compromise if it is reasonable, and gets things accomplished. This is the grand scheme of building coalitions.

Ummm only one problem, RP doesn't own any vote but his own. I will vote for RP for President and I won't be co-opted by offering him any position in any cabinet.
