Look for a Trump/Gingrich ticket soon. The Donald wants Obama to get a second term, that's what this is all about.

This is one of those endorsements that I'm not 100% sure you want. Though if Trump contributes big bucks to one of Gingrich's superPACs I suppose it will still be a net benefit for him.

A Endorsement from Trump is very bad.

Would love to see Trump get a lot of blowback like Palin did for her support of Newt.

So Newt will take the place of Rudy in the next commercial?

I really don't understand why the GOP has this love affair with Trump, but despises Paul. Trump has endorsed Democrats trashes Bush much more than Paul ever has.

Well, that's what they get for listening to Rupert. Namely, made fools of.

Haha. I thought for sure it would be Romney. Adalson payoff or real estate agreement perhaps?

From @ppppolls

Trump's favorability with Republicans nationally the last time we polled it was 34/53. If anything this endorsement might hurt

Honestly, the sources don't look that credible. I think he may still go for Mitt.

Speaking of Nevada, I'd love it if Governor Sandoval came out in support of Ron Paul.

But if he didn't, I hope he endorses Mitt. ANYTHING to stop the Newtmentum!

I really don't understand why the GOP has this love affair with Trump, but despises Paul. Trump has endorsed Democrats trashes Bush much more than Paul ever has.

It is the leftists within the Party who do. Remember that the neoconservatives are leftists who came over from the Democratic Party to take over the conservative movement, when they saw the opportunity to do it.

Paul is the reminder of what true conservatism is and they do not want that reminder to exist.

I agree with that. Trump has almost as low favorability as Gingrich! The Donald might as well be tying a cinder block to Newt's waste and asking him to swim faster.

Ha! Good. I don't really see how a Trump endorsement will do much besides solidify Gingirich's reputation for being a sleazy, womanizing loudmouth. Unless I am much mistaken this isn't a "win" for Gingrich.

Drudge changed it to "Romney?"

I could see this coming by watching the Foxnews Gingrich and Trump love fest. Gingrich is getting an excessive amount of air time over there which I am not surprised considering he was on their payroll for years as a consultant. Not so with Romney.

I am thinking Trump has a close connection with Foxnews with all the air time he is getting so I am thinking he will endorse their pick, Gingrich.

he has to endorse Newt; if he endorses Romney he has no option to run 3rd party if Romney is nominee (as Trump expects); by going Newt he has his excuse.

Haha. I thought for sure it would be Romney. Adalson payoff or real estate agreement perhaps?

Romney dissed him by denying his debate invitation.

He hates Paul and Santorum doesn't have a chance, so Trump endorsing Newt makes sense. Don't think it will affect anything, though. Trump's ego is hilarious and pathetic.

Ask Gingrich if he believes Obama is a Muslim who was born in Kenya at every opportunity =)

So now we know why Foxnews has been giving Trump so much air time. To maximize the Gingrich endorsement impact.

it's about the money. trump has a big presence in las vegas. he's probably buddy buddy with Gingrich's largest backer (the guy who owns the sands hotel/casino chains).

Trump won't run third party. He'll leave it out there to garner attention for himself, but he will fall in line. If he were to run third party, he would take just enough votes out of the GOP to hand the election to Obama and he would be hated in right wing circles... he would become pariah.

I don't understand what people even see in Gingrich to endorse him in the first place. There's nothing good about him. He has no intentions to help other people whatsoever.
