Finally LOU its about time!

This is from a poster on RP Myspace awesome!

BREAKING NEWS:

CNN Anchor Lou Dobbs gave a speech/discussions section at my school tonight - UCSD, the University of California San Diego. His speech was primarily about illegal immigration and how everyone should switch to independants because "Democrats and Republicans are two wings on the same Bird. "

During the Q and A session:

Q: "Which of the candidates in 2008 best suits your beliefs?"

A: "This may shock a lot of people but Ron Paul [Loud applause from 1/2 the audience] and John Edwards are the two candidates who I can best relate too. I don't agree completely with either of them, but those are the two. "

Q: "How can an independent candidate stand up and win against these special-interest candidates who are backed by the mainstream media?"

A: "You know, last week it was announced that Ron Paul raised $4.3 million in one day. That is an incredible haul of money, and it goes to show that when the people support a message, there will be hope in America.

Wow!! If true, this is a great endorsement.

I wonder if he smiled when he said it or did it with his oft displayed lemon-sucking look of displeasure!

Dude WTF. Seriously.

How can he say more praise about Ron Paul in 10 seconds than he has said on his entire show since he came back from vacation.

He should know we have spies everywhere. Freedom spies. And I fear his email box will be flooded with "DUDE!"

He said the same thing when he was on the Round Table on the Situation Room. But my question is in what states can Indies not vote for Ron Paul?

I sent CNN a thank you email for their surge in covering Paul and also sent a thank you to Lou Dobbs for his comments at the speech.

I really hope this translates into some positive TV time and maybe some continuous/daily coverage of the campaign. I think Lou AND Cafferty would probably agree on Ron Paul, and I am also pretty sure Tucker Carlson is a big supporter as well.

They may support Paul and have positive things to say when he is covered, but the decision to weather or not Paul gets covered lies ultimately in our hands through how much support we drum up and the contributions we can make.

I've been waiting for this!!!!

Unfortunately, Lou has gotten many people registered as Independant Voters, and in most states you have to be registered as a Republican to vote in the R primaries. Its almost like a self fulfilling prophecy, If he doesn't win Primaries, draft him as an Independant. I would rather him win on the Republican Line. People vote in Rows ya know, they are still Party Biased.

EXACTLY!

Once again, Dobbs proves nothing more than the fact that he is a shameless, politically muddled whore. Nobody could say they like both John Edwards and Ron Paul without merely trying to triangulate the audience for maximum book sales. He is just as bad as O'Reilly in his own way.

He has to know this. He is ultimately disenfranchising many voters by encouraging them to register as Indies.

What matters is how they VOTE.

I also still think he may be hedging for Bloomberg, so we need to be watchful.

davidhperry

So, are we absolutely SURE that he said this? It looks like the source is one blog post.

I don't think Edwards is CFR anymore... he has been pushing a lot of USA first, anti-globalization messages lately (of course with a liberal protectionist slant). Those messages don't sit well with with the CFR crowd.

I'll bet you DOBBS is going to make a run for president this year as an independent.

This is a planned thing to sabotage Paul.

Mark my words this will happen and he'll be rewarded handsomely with the $$$$$.

DOBBS in 2008. coming your way soon.

LAST NIGHT-I saw Lou Dobbs on THIS IS AMERICA with Wholey and Wholey asked him if he saw any hope in any of the candidates Lou said "NO" but he thought maybe a JIM WEBB would make a good leader.
He went on to slam Hillary, He talked about KERRY/BUSH being skulls and bones and both from YALE.
Don't know when the interview was taped, but it was aired last night.

Lou Dobbs would make a great Vice President and Jack Cafferty a great White House spokesman. I Think Lou will soon put aside some of the things on his wish list and see the big picture of what Ron Paul represents.

I was there last night. He is NOT in the Ron Paul camp and wants a new, independent candidate to ride in and save the day.

Lou Dobbs was on the radio with Thom Hartmann last week -- he wants Socialized Medicine.

About Jim Webb, he voted for Illegal Immigration a couple weeks ago -- he voted Yes on the Cloture Vote for the Dream Act in October - giving illegal aliens amnesty.
