Do you realize that our system of defense spending here is corrupt?! Companies are handed no-bid contracts. Where bidding does occur, companies consistently underbid what they KNOW it will cost, and then tack on additional costs later.

The whole system is broken. This Lee Kington moron then cites the grounding of our entire fleet of F-15s. What a great example of how screwed up the system is! These fighters cost $30 million!!!! EACH!! Wikipedia reports the USAF has 400 of these fighters - that's 400 x $30 million = $12 BILLION worth of hardware sitting around collecting dust.

I also love how his earlier post insinuates that presidents should not interfere with intelligence agencies. Yeah, let's just let our intelligence agencies continue on as they are, since they served us so damned well prior to September 11th and prior to our invasion of Iraq.

I am not going to bother mentioning the rest of his comments, this guy is pathetic. I truly hope he has no followers over there.

Yes. In fact, long ago and far far away I used to work for a government contractor. Even little old me, one step above the assembly line back then, got to witness the corruption first hand. I can only imagine the deals that get made in the rooms that had doors.

But I still think spending money on state of the art defense "toys" is a good thing.

He has nothing. He states so oftenly and repeatedly about Ron Paul "letting" babies die, even when the conversation had nothing to do without. He obviously isn't smart enough to research as he only had one point, and one point that was probably wrong as Ron Paul successfully delivered 4,000 babies inbetween 1988 and the time he began his stint in congress.
