Surprised to read it and find out the story actually makes sense. Why the hell do people try to shoot themselves by pointing the gun stylistically in their mouth, or under their jaw? Why not just stick it straight up to the head?

I could see it happening, but according to the trajectory reports, how was this dude still...standing...after shots 1, 2, 3, and 4? they say shot 5 was the kill shot, ok. Shot 1 into the ceiling I can buy. Two, 3, and 4 dude should have been on the floor, and not gone into the ceiling even if the rest of the story was true. After getting shot once in the chest and 3 times in the head, he's really going to have the presence of mind to move the weapon to the side of the spinal cord?

I don't want to go all tinfoil hattery here, and I'm willing to bet the police would rather send him to PMITA prison and were disappointed that the guy was dead (took the 'easy' way out) so it's not like the police wanted the guy dead in this case... So I'm not going the 'secret assassination' route at all.

But I'm supposed to believe the dude was still standing for shots 3 and 4? I don't like it. That doesn't add up.
