Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Texas Congressman Ron Paul do best in in a match-up with President Barack Obama according to a Real Clear Politics average of recent polls.
Romney trails Obama by 2.4 percentage points at 47.5% to 45.1% while Paul trails Obama by 5.4 points at 47.7% to 42.3%.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum fare far worse against Obama, trailing the President by double-digits at 51.9% to 39.1% and 50.6% to 40.6%, respectively.
