My theory is that Ron Paul is the only one who can legitimately expose these phony conservatives.

So theyre thinking, maybe if we're nice to him, he wont expose us.

They want to get elected if they are the nominee.

A) Don't attack Ron because it gives him more speaking time and Ron may make you look bad.

B) There's no path to the presidency without Ron.

So much pandering it made me sick. But Wolf actually moderated this well so the debate was watchable, and Ron kicked ass.

Because he knows he's right and just tow's the party line on foreign policy because he thinks that's his meal ticket to the presidency.

He did great, but as always everyone will not even talk about him. O well we all know he did the best and was actually funny tonight.

The best thing you can do tonight is donate $10.00 to the Official Campaign and move the End the TSA Mini Money Bomb Ticker closer to the $300,000 Mark.

It will also let Ron know how we the RP Grassroots thought he did tonight.

More like it was pander to Ron's supporters because you can't win without them. It won't work.

Well he did say that he would do his best to keep military actions as a last resort, and then motioned to Ron using his smooth pandering skills.

I fear that although ron is doing good in debates, he isn't gaining any ground.

he just needs to hammer in his electability numbers compared to obama. it's the same thing with santorum, tons of people (in iowa at least) liked him because of his perceieved social conservative but many admitted they weren't supporting him because his poll #'s were so low.

if paul just keeps on saying he brings in the independents, the dems, takes away support from obama, and statistically ties with him. then the soft support will come in. they will turn from "oh i like that guy personally but newt/romney are really the only ones left" to "hey this guy i agree with and he can actually win!"

Newt is making a play for Paul supporters. It was a calculated and deliberate effort to compliment Dr. Paul.

They are all kissing Ron's ass because they seen the power of Paul, look at the students infront of CNN screaming for Paul. Amazing!

shouldve closed out the debate by saying he is the only one who soundly beats obama with independents and he is the only one who can turn the left right paradigm on its head and truly grow the republican party

They want to attract Ron Paul supporters. Hey, you can't get Paul supporters without taking on Paul's ideas. "I agree with Ron Paul except about the part where he says we shouldn't bomb Iran," isn't going to cut it.

On the downside of this, they're all complimenting because they don't see him as a threat. He didn't get this kind of treatment when he was leading in Iowa.

Yep - he's no threat so everyone is nicey nice. Makes me want to vomit.

Ron does much better in this "new" environment. On the up side, this will help him get the message out to more people. The downside needs no explanation.

If someone with the skills can put together every time one of the other candidates has 'Ron Pauled' an answer and given him the credit, we would have a great video to rebut the 'way out of the Republican mainstream' nonsense.

Of course he is gaining ground. What is it, like 1 or 2% of the delegates have been assigned? Despite what the MSM is telling everyone this thing has just begun. Every state so far he's multiplied last years support numerous times. Don't get all gloom and doom just yet.

Ron Paul 2012!

Both Romney and Gingrich are after our votes guys but I don't want them to win. If Ron Paul doesn't win the GoP nomination I rather vote for Obama so in 2016 Rand Paul can be a presidential candidate.

I don't like to think about the idea that we won't get another try for 8 years if a Neocon wins the presidency. But this is a serious concern.

With 4 in the debate we're only now starting to get real visibility. RP is still getting blacked out, but it's slightly harder to black out 25% of the candidates than 12.5%.

Not over by a damn sight

I refused to watch the fake debates. Just too many one liners of pandering. I did watch the clip of Paul answers and for the most part liked what I heard although he could have expanded on some questions such as the Hispanic one being in his cabinet.

Sending the politicians to the moon was a good line for Paul. He seemed to make people laugh and clap for him. But I didn't see the other candidate's BS responses and the crowd's reaction to them.

Is a turning point possible? Was tonight that point? If not, boy it must be soon.

Its simple. They don't see Ron as a threat in Florida, so in the debate they can pander.
To hell with the three. They don't agree with Ron Paul if money is involved.

He had a good night last night. And that's probably why The Washington Post has brought up the Newsletters again today.

It's utterly shameful on their part. I've yet to see any mainstreem news outlet mention that the racist stuff accounted for about 1 newsletter in over a decades worth of newsletters - and that it was written by someone else (whose name escapes me atm - I wonder why?)

It's a shame because you read the comments and people who like Paul have been put off him because the Media simply doesn't report the truth. They have no excuse.

Who would have thought 4 years ago that right now the candidates (except insane Frothy/Bachmann) would be agreeing with Paul on a lot of things. By the way, Bachmann says shes running again..we need to help her lose.
