So I didn't know this till today, but as it turns out, some members of Congress play baseball in a grand GOP vs. Dems game in DC played for charity. It's a tradition started in 1909.

As it turns out,

Rep. Ron Paul of Texas was on the Republican team in the 1980s and is "the only congressman to have hit a home run over the fence in the game’s 50-year history."

Ron's been hitting home runs for decades! :D

If the game has been a tradition since 1909, then why are they only crediting Ron for the game's "50-year history"?

Regardless of whether it's 50 years or 103 years, really cool fact!

Yeah that must be a typo but it's also the case that the article lacks data on some years' games so maybe it was trying to account for that somehow?
