I've mentioned this before, but am posting this again because I've seen a lot of people who seem to be new to the forums.

There are many, many Americans who have strong ties to another country. Most are immigrants but some are children of immigrants, or went to school in another country, or are born Americans who married someone from another country. Or maybe they just like to go into Canada or Mexico a lot to shop or vacation.

I have found that exchange rates are a 100% surefire way to get people fired up. Doesn't matter what country they have ties to, they all burst out when I raise the topic. Austria, Greece, Peru, anywhere.

I DON'T get complicated. I don't talk about the Federal Reserve or the gold standard.

I keep it simple and they are 100% impressed:
-Ron Paul has noticed the problem with the value of the dollar
-he is very concerned about it
-he has a plan to deal with it
-he's the only candidate who talks about this problem

That's it. At most, I might also mention that we keep printing dollars so that things are going to keep getting worse unless Ron Paul gets into office and stops it.
