Did anybody see this? It was absolutely amazing!

The topic: America's foreign policy

Here's what I just wrote to Jesse Benton at RPHQ:

Last night on the Charlie Rose show, these 3 former National security advisers discussed in-depth America's foreign policy.

Brzezinski in particular said many things that back up what Dr. Paul has been saying. Scowcroft, too but not as eloquently as ZB.

The last question they were asked was "What do you think the newly elected president should convey to the American people about what direction we need to be moving towards". Again, Scowcroft hit the Ron Paul mark beautifully - ZB hit the mark magnifecently! He even talked about how the American people were going to have to re-think their ideal of "the good life". He explained how hedonism and self-centeredness will have to be replaced with compassion and sacrifice in order for true American ideals to take hold.

The only thing missing in that interview was Ron Paul's picture being flashed across the screen every 5 minutes. :)

You guys should find out how to best use this to our advantage. It was both exhilerating and frustrating at the same time to hear it, because you sit there going "that's exactly what Ron will do!"

No, Peter Peterson is. "Hey, Peter Peterson, what's your middle name? Peter?"

I saw it and felt the same way about the remarks. It didn't stop me from wanting to hang Kissinger by the balls. He makes me puke!

A quick look at his wikipedia article shows he has been on both sides of Ron Paul's foreign policy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zbigniew_Brzezinski

He armed the Afghan's against USSR. , thus, armed/trained Taliban.

He opposed wars against Iraq, claiming it would fuel Arab rage against US.

He supported intervention against Serbia.

He speaks out against supporting Israeli lobby.

Would have to study hime for a full picture, but he doesn't seem to fall on one side of this idea.

This lines up perfectly well with the rest of the ideology. Make sacrifices for the "common good", as WE define it. Don't pursue your own happiness, pursue that of others, as WE define it.

Nothing new.
