Get married!

LOL, ok yes, this isn't very practical, but I was just thinking what kind of media attention we could get if 1 person out there was actually this hardcore. Tons of Ron Paul supporters could go down to city hall to celebrate with them, and it would hopefully get national media attention. This is just something so crazy, that people would have to take notice :p

Well if you are already in a relationship - why not? ;)

You can get married in Nevada, donate, then unmarried the next day. FEC might not agree with this tactic, though. :)

Yeah the question is would we want them to. Lets start acting normal or something. :)

I know people who got married for less reason than this - make sure you name the children Ron, Pau,l and Carol! :D

But you can each donate 2300 dollars not married. IF you are both supporters you can donate 2300 dollars each anyway. I don't understand the pros of getting married.

That has as much chance of happening as Hannity endorsing Dr. Paul.

An entrepreneur could open up a dedicated Ron Paul chapel next door to one of the Elvis chapels! Get hitched for freedom! :D

Well that would just be if one of the people was dirt poor and couldn't afford $2300 out of pocket.

Much more practical would be to just give your partner 2300 to donate. Illegal, sure, but the caps are an affront to liberty, so screw 'em! ;)

Married or not two people can still give 2,300 each. It isn't illegal to give someone a 2,300 gift. What they choose to do with that money once you have given it to them is up to them. The FEC knows that Hill Clinton is getting $2,300 donations from dishwashers working in Chinatown and everyone knows this isn't their personal funds. If it isn't illegal for Hill the same rules must apply to Ron Paul.

Anyway anyone can give a cash gift to anyone else for less than $10,000 without tax consequences and if that person decides to donate to Paul that is fine. The only way this can be seen as illegal is if you distribute 100k to a bunch of people that all donate to your candidate. At that point you are stretching the laws but we all know the corporate candidates do this regularly.
