Back in 1777, after the colonies were badly wounded by the British, George Washington decided to move his troops back and regroup. After pondering where to go for a long time, he decided to set up camp at Valley Forge, not too far north of Philadelphia.

Now, the Americans were, as I stated, greatly wounded. Their morale had taken a heavy hit. They were hungry and very weary. As the winter went along, marked by disease and hunger, it became very apparent that the Americans and the whole revolution were on life support.

With the help of a foreign General and another Regimental Camp, the morale of the troops went up. They got their health back because of the Regimental Camp, who provided vital support. They became very organized because of the foreign General. The Revolution was given new life. Roughly half a year later, the American troops left Valley Forge and went on to fight the British again. As well all know...WE FUCKING WON!

This is our moment. This is where we re-energize, re-organize, and re-focus on the battle at hand...

DEFEATING TYRANNY!

Luckily for us, we have music that can pump us up...

OMG. No it isn't. This isn't life or death. No one is freezing here. We didn't do as well as we wanted in a primary -- big deal. Get some perspective, and a grip on reality.

Save the Valley Forge metaphors for some time in the future when they could actually apply.

Relativity. If this is his time then let it be his time. I'm not going to stand in his way, are you?

S.C. primary vote =/= a reference to 'Valley Forge."

Some of you need to realize what a metaphor is and quit being overly sensitive.

actually I don't think this is all that bad - I did for a short bit, but this field is so open and fluid it will be 2 months before it is close to decided

Every moment matters. We can't be lulled into passivity. But if you are going to make a Valley Forge reference you had best follow it up with some damn good boots on the ground activity and some passion.

No infighting!
Constructive criticism I would be ok with but seriously, we all have the same goal in mind here so lets pick up the chins if we need to and take a sunday off. but then its time to get back to giving back to the man who is sacrificing himself and his career and his life to champion the ideals that we all stand for.

yes the MSM doesn't appreciate us. They want to see this dissolve, do we want to be co-opted?
Yes the system is exploitative, but its what we have so lets play the cards we are dealt the best we can.
This is hard, this is tedious but it is not OVER.

This is what the US has become and it is our responsibility to take this fight to the floor. NOW is when we make sure that when people look back at this time in history and see what we did they know that we didn't sit idly. This this is where paradigms shift. We may not be in valley forge, but we damn sure are not in the America that our founding fathers foresaw. We call this a Revolution. If it was easy it would already have been done. The negativity has to end we need to encourage one another keep moving forward.

The starting line: autography

...Those kids are making progress now
They say "Hear us out!" in every town
They do it 1 mile by 1 mile at a time

Though it seems like every time I get a little bit closer
To what I want I land further away from where and when I was a little bit younger
If you still don't know how the cadence goes
We say:

This parade still marches on
Louder than it ever was
Right, left, right, c'mon
C'mon get up and just follow the tempo
Where streets filled with people
Sing on and on and on through the town
The beat goes on..

listen to the pump up music and lets hit the streets!

Yes. What this means is that there are still a whole lot of undecided/uncommitted voters out there. And THAT is an opportunity.

What we need are some VIKINGS.
