I think I would say something like this:
There are many candidates here tonight promising you great things, but I'm the only one who has the record to assure you I will not change my position.
I'm the only candidate on stage who never voted for a bailout, a health care mandate, or for doubling the size of the department of education. I will fight for these principles in the white house as I did for so many years. No bailouts, no mandates, and no department of education.
Your thoughts? What would be your statement?
