I know Ron Paul Supports Legalization and ending the War on Drugs. But where does he stand as far as a tax on Marijuana sales?
Anyone know. I'm having a hard time googling the answer.

States issue.

My guess would be that he would be against it on principle but recognize it should be up to the states to decide.

I would be fine with it as long as its legal to grow it without needing permits.

I understand that he thinks it should be an issue left up to the states to decide (as he states on many different issues). But I'm interested in finding out if he as ever commented on his personal opinion on a taxing marijuana sales.

States rights on this.

taxes would ideally obviously be as low as possible, but let's be real we need money from somewhere...and a sales tax is a good place. usury tax should be the focus not income.

It is up to the states, he is for the least amount of tax as possible and would pass that message onto the states, but at the end of the day he would leave it the states.

Ron Pauls position: Ideally the federal government will stay out of it. He'd leave it up to the states. Ron Paul a citizen of Texas is against any taxes

Usury taxes or User taxes?

At the state level, I would think he would prefer the sales tax to total prohibition.

It's a Tax.

As a rule,, Ron Paul is not fond of taxes.

Ya but if a bill (at the state level) came up where a tax on cannabis would replace incarceration for possession, I would think he would choose the tax.
