In this situation of this Assembly, groping as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when presented to us, how has it happened, Sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the Father of lights to illuminate our understandings? In the beginning of the Contest with G. Britain, when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the divine protection.-Our prayers, Sir, were heard, & they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending providence in our favor. To that kind providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? or do we imagine that we no longer need his assistance?


I feel that we are also at this point. I believe that this campaign is only where it is with the aid of our Heavenly Father. Yes we have all been working hard, but isn't it amazing that almost every obstacle that has been placed in the path of this campaign has turned to our favor?

Therefore, I call upon each of us to continue to call for guidance, and I would also like to designate 9 p.m. Eastern on Thanksgiving day for us to join together in prayer, with our families where possible, and thank the Giver of all Good Gifts for our Freedoms that we still enjoy and for this opportunity to win our lost freedoms back. let us ask for his continued divine guidance and blessing upon this cause, and ask that the hearts of the American people will be opened to the freedom message that Ron Paul represents.

Sorry, there is no website and I can't make a graph to register "heaven-hits" but I would ask those of you who like this idea to contribute to it, spread it and help us have a national outpouring requesting heavenly aid on Thanksgiving day at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Darn televangelists have made it hard to say the words "prayer" and "contribute" in the same sentence without feeling like you need to take a shower.

Not bad if you can keep it minimal, don't tell people how to pray and maybe set specific times so all minds kind work in unison like Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Maybe a picture of Ron Paul also.IMO

I used GMT in order to be more "friendly" to all time zones..

If you could change the "power prayer" time to 9:00 Eastern, I think that will be a good time for the continental US, and that time ahs already been sent out to numberous Meetup groups.

I was so exhausted when you wrote this that I missed it.. ;)

After a few hours sleep I'm better..

I'm a bit dyslexic.. just a bit.. and I was so tired.. even the GMT time was wrong..
I subtracted 5 hours from 9:00pm EST instead of ADDING 5 hours.. :D


I just changed it to: ~ Nov 22, 9:00EST


I'll work on the Franklin quote for ya.. fix it somehow..
the page isn't perfect now.. it's just a starter..

but.. the message will still be basically the same ect..
