In other unrelated news, seismologists have now confirmed that Ayn Rand has turned over in her grave.

I was just going to say...Atlas Shrugged is coming true...

Will we all go Galt?

Why is this in Ron Paul Grassroots Forum?

I've always had a problem with Exxon's record profits coinciding with record high fuel prices. I see it as legal price gouging.
Maybe that's just me....

The real thing that gets me is how anyone actually believes that any of this will get back to the consumer. Liberals have this funny idea about "Wealth Redistribution", but really all it amounts to is theft by the elites. Even if this goes into effect, it will not lower my fuel expenses one lick! It will only end up costing me more for fuel, the oil companies will send more refinery jobs overseas, and some fatcats in Wall Street trading firms will get fatter.

So have we all decided where our Galt's gulch will be yet?

Sorry about that, got a little confused with the news prefix. I understand now.

Since the government makes more profit off of oil than oil companies, does that mean the "reasonable profits" apply to the government too?

Of course. I think you'll find that they'll find that their "service" to the people equates to quite a large amount of "reasonable profits". After all, they're fighting for our liberties and our freedoms, remember?

What's reasonable? Whats reasonable is what Kucinich says is reasonable. Unlike Obama, he is a point-blank socialist and not a pretender. He's honestly a clueless jerk, but honestly at least and lets not forget that. Although he did cave to Obama when asked him to sign the freakish piece of legislation for gun-point health insurance that nobody likes, even liberals.
