Will purchases in the official store really update the donation amounts on the ticker and count for the day? Seems like I have heard a couple different things on this.

No. They will count on the FEC reports this January though.

I had come across this issue back at the end of the last quarter.

yes - store purchases count. they just take a bit longer to process.

What gets counted? the total of sales or the profit generated from the sales?

I bought almost $100 worth of stuff in 3Q and it never got reported for some reason? Weird.

I'll just donate to be on the safe side :D

They only report donations of $200 or more so it would not show up even if you donated instead of bought.

I think the total sales counts as the donation amount. Sort of like a fundraising dinner, the official campaign doesn't get as much out of it as a straight donation.

Bump because I want to be sure. Anyone else know the real deal?
I'm starting a meetup and would love to just buy stuff and have it count. But I want to contribute to the Veterans' Day money bomb. Don't really have enough money to do both, so would like a definitive on this question.
Thanks.

I have no idea. I have heard so much conflicting info I don't know what to believe. I've never heard anything from an official source.
