Looks like a decidedly upward tick to start the day.

Which makes sense because RP2008 is out by 3 minutes and RPGraphs is probably using that clock.

Hmm I hate to be the negative person but going at a rate of $5,000 per 15 minutes only puts us at like $250,000 for the day. So assuming it picks up tomorrow, we're still not looking like a million dollar day I'm afraid. :(

Hopefully I did the math wrong lol!

Well... you did do the math wrong. At that rate the total for 24 hours would be $480,000.

I think it would be great to get over 1M for the day. But, I think the bigger story might be the number of individual contributors. One suggestion was to get $11.11 per donor. That is an amount many could afford. The amount would reflect the importance of he date and make it easy for most all supporters to make a donation.

Hopefully today will bring in lots of money... I think it will be a note worthy event if a record number of individual contributors is reached.

either way (or both ways)... good luck to us all

Don't worry, I'm the positive person so I'll balance this out. It is after midnight, and the donation rate will change after 8am on the east coast. Look at where the uptick started on Nov 5th...

http://www.ronpaulgraphs.com/nov_5_total.png

The pace will pick up in the morning. Right now all the hardcore "stay up till midnight on the 11th" supporters are donating and getting things started. Between the press, and the supporters that will jump in tomorrow, I'm guessing between 500-600k.

Ok good to hear both of those things, that I did do the math wrong lol (figures), and that this is kind of the pattern of how the fundraising gets going.

But no matter what we're destroying Huckabee right now!! lol:D

I wonder if he has had anyone else donate yet?

It's not like November 5th, but I think that's partly because there's less excitement for it and less people. Most are not willing to stay up late and donate, most are going to donate later today.

There hasn't been the same midnight madness where people were salivating over the prospects. This has already been a big week and quite a few people are pooped. Let's not forget the Philly Rally people, some who may be donating today but are still on their way home or may be trying to get some sleep.

It should be noted that the money bomb within today's money bomb is scheduled for 1-2 PM EST, by the fine folks at RonPaulMoneyBomb.com.

Exactly, and you've actually got two with the stress test. A lot of people are probably going to go along with that as well. Not to mention most are holding on until the day.

Are you seriously using avgs from 12am to 6am and coming up with a total?

I was looking at the front page of paulcash.slact.net, and even though the total for today is not too impressive at this very early hour, the other three graphs are quite striking-- $/hr, donors/hour, size of donation.

Buying merchandise such as books from Paul's website counts as a donation, right?

I think we'll see more of an upswing in the evening, but this was never meant to be another November 5th. We're only a week away from the 5th which is too close for a lot of people who donated then to do so again. I also think that having it on a Sunday may not have been a great idea. Nov 11th was setup originally for people that didn't want to participate in the "terrorist themed" November 5th.

Anyways, don't be discourage. December 16th is the day.

The charts show an upswing from 8:00 this morning. People are waking up and donating. I think more attention may be paid the 11th donations later today when people are done chewing over the "Face the Nation" interviews.

Not to mention, when they get up they have to get the kids ready for church, go to church, go to breakfast....then come home and donate. I am a little disappointed with the funds raised so far, but since today is a Sunday, I am not very surprised.

I know it was never meant to get the kind of money they did last week, but I hope we can at least get close to a million.

We should keep perspective. It took several days to raise half a million at the end of third quarter. It is pretty likely to get $250 to $500 thousand in this one day and right on the heels of so many donors giving six days ago. It is still a lot of money to raise at once.

Plus there are still candidiates in the race, who are struggling to raise in the quarter what even this one day represents.

It looks like the curve at RonPaulGraphs.com is getting steeper and steeper....

Remember when $100,000 was a great day? Now we raise that before lunch, and we're a little disappointed....

The weekly money bomb from RonPaulMoneyBomb.com is starting to go off, right about now.... from 1-2 PM EST.

Maybe that will prime the pump for a big afternoon and evening surge.
