It would be good if RP would explain in one of these debates what a war with Iran would actually mean. Too many people outthere seem to think it would be just another Middle East Adventure. Unaffordable oil prizes, plummeting economies, unimaginable human tragedys and loss for the world. Iran got a defensive pact with Syria, so the US is going to take on 2 more countries, with masses of people in the whole region angered at them and the enemy getting heavy support from China and Russia.

And indeed, why should China and Russia sit idle by as it watches the West securing energy sources after another and generally just f*** around in there neighborhood. There is too much at stake for them. Is it worth it to risk the complete destruction of Israel and all others, risking martial law, a nuclear exchange and a possible world war 3 scenario, just because maybe another nation on the other side of the planet gets a weapon that so many other countrys have aswell?

If people think its worth it, then what is there to look forward to? Another round of multiple nation building for future generations of americans.

Yep. I've posted something similar with regards to the oil price issue in the campaign suggestion box:

I think using doubling gasoline prices as the argument will gain the most traction, because people can understand this without doing extensive research.
