Last Texas Governors Race 2006, wasnt a usual one...
Votes %
Rep. Rick Perry 1,716,803 39.03
Dem. Chris Bell 1,310,353 29.79
Lib. James Werner 26,748 0.61
Ind. Richard “Kinky” Friedman 546,869 12.43
Ind. Carole Keeton Strayhorn 797,577 18.13

Thats 1,371,194 Votes for Neither Rep. / Dem

This was Results from last governors race 2002. and in 2004 wit gbush vs kerry results were similiar, dem party grew more though.
Rick Perry - Republican Party 2,632,591 57.81
Tony Sanchez - Democratic Party 1,819,798

So est. about 915,000 repubs voted other then rep.
and est 500,000 dems voted other then dem.
That or a few other theorys

PRIMARIES RESULTS 2002
Tony Sanchez 609,383 60.7 Rick Perry 620,463 100.00
Dan Morales 330,873 33.0
Bill Lyon 43,011 4.3
John Worldpeace 20,121 2.0

Notice the primarys had less people then the real electionday thats probably the same everywhere.

I think the point though was clear the people were tired of rep / dem and wanted less bs and more truth which is what ron paul has. So we really need to try for those Primary wins and getting the people to turn out and vote for ron paul. It may be a longshot comparison on my part, but any one else feel it shows the voters need for change from reg govt.?
