Good idea, lets not all flood it with RP message just for one day. Spread it out over the two upcoming months.

AlexMerced
11-10-2007, 08:53 PM
yeah, it's already flooded with Al Gore and Ron Paul messages, although Ron Paul definetley has more.

The President Musharaff ones tend to be pretty funny.

I saw one for Obama and One for Petreus

then I saw a handful for Hillary

So it's pretty fierce battle between Gore and Paul

The thing is, Time's Man (or person) of the year goes to someone who "has done the most to influence the events of the year." Is that really Ron Paul? I don't see him as very influencial. At best, you can say he has opened debate over foreign policy. But, not too many people even know about him.

Oh Christ, the Gore loving is impossible to stand. Several people calling Gore a hero and a man of principle who can't be bought. As if there's no money to be made through the climate change issue.

I put in my say! There's a lot of Al Gore's on there and for shame. Ron Paul has done more for this country than Al Gore ever will. Ron Paul for President. Ron Paul for Time Man of the Year.

Exactly... If I had to say it's any one, I'd vote for Gonzo, even though he's already resigned as Attornery General.

I think Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be Man of the Year. He managed to get every government law maker talking about his dumb ass nonstop this year, and he is the direct target for our nukes, and will be one of the WW3 catalysts.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who thought this...

From the Time website:

Posted by Jeremy Dies in Boston, MA
Time's Person of the Year should be former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. The former AG was at the epicenter of the biggest stories of the year - the US Attorney scandal, the authorization of torture, and the debate over unchecked executive power. Gonzales embodies the state of American politics in a very turbulent 2007.

I am going to gather that the election is going to get much more headlines next year in 2008 and I think Ron Paul should definitly be man of the year for 2008.

I put in my two cents for Ron Paul.

If he gets it, man, talk about major publicity!

I doubt he will though, Time is just another globalist supportive magazine, and thus they probably won't want Ron Paul on the front of it.

Then again, miracles do happen.

I already made a thread about this, does anyone know of anything else we can nominate him for?

Syren123
11-10-2007, 11:31 PM
Sure he deserves it. But Time Magazine doesn't usually go for people of integrity or real accomplishment. Maybe Dinesh D'souza is more their Man of the Year type. Kind of a conservative, but a warhawk extraordinaire.

They gave Jeff Bezos MotY for Amazon three years before Amazon even made one penny of profit. Idiots.

Yeah I was reading through the comments and saw tons of Ron Paul support so hopefully we'll at least get an "honorable mention".

Regardless of what the idiots at Time Magazine think, Ron Paul is undoubtedly my man of the year (maybe even of the decade!).

I posted...

Ron Paul should without a doubt be the Person of the Year.
Dr. Ron Paul has done more to motivate the people of the U.S to get off their bottoms and get involved in their government again. He stands for truth in an age of lies and deceit. He stands for the The Constitution during a time when people are trying to undermine it. But most of all, he stands for THE PEOPLE, in a time when no one else does.

Maybe he could point out that such things as Brown's Gas have been around for years. Gore didn't do anything besides stating what everyone already knows. I also noticed that Hillary was on there, are you kidding me? Why?

Well, here's what I posted on the "vote"

RON PAUL. He's breaking down the wall. For almost 100 years the wolves have convinced the sheep that they have best interests of the sheep in mind. Ron Paul is willing to challenge this notion. With the onset of the internet and "reading" becoming more popular, the American public are starting to learn what was NOT taught to them in public schools and are outraged. They see clearly that they are being deceived, mislead, manipulated and spoon fed fear in every facet of popular media.

Ron Paul is starting to unite Americans. Look at the grassroots campaigners. Look at the 1 day fund raising, Look at the passion that exists in the people that support him. This passion does not and has not existed for any candidate that I remember in my lifetime.

It doesn't take guts to write books about a imaginary wizards.

It doesn't take guts to tell the world the sky is falling (however needed it may be).

It doesn't take guts to promote socialism (Sorry Hillary but you're a socialist.)

IT TAKES GUTS to sit in congress and be the only one to vote against bills that take away our money, our freedom, our rights and our privacy.

IT TAKES GUTS to go face to face with head of the Federal Reserve and tell him the system is broken and not just broken but intentionally created to cheat the public!

IT TAKES GUTS to run for President of the USA, amongst a corrupt empire funded by international interests and call for the end of corrupt and/or illegal entities like the Federal Reserve, IRS, Federal Income Tax and the Department of Education.

He gives us the details, he gives us the answers and he gives us genuine hope that all is not lost. And without saying it, without it needing to be said.

Ron Paul is running for President to bring and end to Theft and Corruption.

After 2008, America simply won't be the same!

I wrote a while back about how Ron Paul is actually doing something about the Assault on Reason and how he realizes that some times the consensus needs to be challenged.

I'm rarely and advocate of sending everyone to a site but I think going and voting time.com person of the year poll is ok. Make them be heard that smug will not be accepted in America.

Actually, I represent Time for that event and I have my own commission allotment.

They go for $110 apiece before Dec 27, but at the door they will be priced in Euro€
so if you want a good deal let me know how many you want.

I make a special deal for group discount.:D

(Also ask about the bridges I have for sale, certified by the Army Corps of Engineers)
