2nd most of actual votes cast so far, a--holes!

This may actually be a good thing. Anyone watching is going to know how Iowa and New Hampshire went, this will be blatant - possibility of blowback = HIGH, in my opinion!

Yes, it's been clear since NH — notice that FOX said that the Davis endorsement was the 2nd most important after DeMint, yet no mention of it at all.

The GOP pushed Hunt to drop out to bury the news.

They are in SC. That is what they should base it on. This is just more crap from FOX

Why not actual poll results? Hmmm Ron Paul would be right next to Mitt in that case. How dare they put Ron Paul on the outskirts with Rick Perry.

On top of it,

Newt Gingrich hasn't even broke into the top 3 in any of the primaries yet. How does that justify his placement here?

LibertyPhanatic
01-16-2012, 02:57 PM
Placement is irrelevant. We all know Ron will get the least amount of questions/speaking time regardless if he is in the center, on the end, or in the parking lot.

pauliticalfan
01-16-2012, 02:58 PM
Who cares. Speaking time is far more important. We were front and center at the last NBC debate and were completely ignored. Anyone who's been paying attention knows we are kicking ass and won't ignore us.

RonRules
01-16-2012, 03:01 PM
Why not actual poll results?

You mean actual VOTE results. Remember folks, there is NO statistical error in the VOTE, because the VOTE is the VOTE. That's what Fox should use for placing the podiums.

Lol i dont get the pic the OP posted..what's that supposed to be all about?

Haha looks like they are rigging the podiums or wiring them with something. Anyone remember the last one when Ron first spoke, the mic got a fucked up and had this feedback noise, and then Frothy said 'Its cuz you're lying again, Ron'. Gah, i was pissed about that. Of all mics to fuck up, it has to be his, just makes ya wonder what was going on. And even after it was working seconds later, you could still hear a slight ringing sound. Only until they came back from commercial was it totally fixed.

The pic in the OP show that Santorum and Gingrich are flanking Romney. Meaning Perry and Ron will be waiting in the wings.

Ahhh i see. Well hey, it is obvious they are always gonna put King Mitt in the center though. Just how it is. After all, he IS still the frontrunner and the guy to beat.

This shows that Fox will be in all out attack mode against RP tonite. The podium placement tips their hand. They'll mostly ignore him but when they do ask him a question it'll be the loaded "your supporters believe this...." crap like 2008. The establishment is terrified. Ron will need tobe on his game tonite.

Christopholes11

Don't worry guys Paul will get a question.

"Dr. Paul, we notice you use air travel to fly back and forth to Washington D.C. Isn't this hypocritical of you when you could go by bicycle and not only save the taxpayers money but the environment as well."

Paul answers: "Well you know I actually gave back over..."

"Sorry folks time for a commercial break. We will be right back after this to discuss an important issue in this election cycle, gay marriage."

All the Fox News debates have had the podiums aligned with the RCP national averages. We're just barely in fourth place, but it's fourth place none the less. It's not a big deal, hopefully he'll be next to Santorum and he'll have time to make his case. It's effectively a four man show up there, Perry is just hanging on.

My ideal presidential debates have 5 participants: Democratic Nominee, Republican Nominee, Libertarian Nominee, Green Party Nominee, Highest polling independent candidate with forced rules that they all get equal amount of questions posed to them and rebuttals if their name is brought up.

But then the people would actually have a choice! Even worse they might vote for someone other than one of the two sides of the same coin. The horror!

Maltheus
01-16-2012, 04:12 PM
Paul needs to use his "answer time" to discuss the actual issues? I don't care if they ask him if black people did 9/11, just start talking about taking an axe to the deficit. If they ask the stupid 3rd party question yet again, talk about habeus corpus or the constitution. STOP PLAYING THEIR GAME Dr. Paul! The worst they're going to do is extend your talk time and demand you answer their actual question. But then you then use that time to point out the drivel the media has been focused on and how you'd like to focus on the real issues.

libertyfanatic
01-16-2012, 04:19 PM
Each candidate should be allowed to respond to each question. A computer would put the candidates name's in random order for each question, so it would be fair. Of course, then the MSM couldn't ignore Paul so it will never happen.

I'd agree provided that the LP or Greens actually won a congressional seat first. I am very much in favor of third parties, but I think you should actually qualify by winning something first, otherwise any yahoo can get themselves on a major TV debate.

Real Clear Politics National Average:
Romney 31.2
Newton 16.2
Santorum 14.5
Paul 13
Perry 6.5

So the order makes sense if they base it off that.

Fox News' National Primary poll released today:
Romney 40
Santorum 15
Gingrich 14
Paul 13
Perry 6

Order makes sense if they base it off that.

South Carolina RCP Average:
Romney 29.7
Newton 22
Paul 15
Santorum 14.3
Perry 5.7

Order doesn't make sense if you base it off that.

Order wouldn't make sense if they used Popular vote count or delegate count.

jsingh1022
01-16-2012, 05:25 PM
5 metrics put Paul in the top 3:
1. Delegate Count
2. Popular Vote Count
3. South Carolina Polls
4. New Hampshire Finish
5. Iowa Finish

1 metric puts Paul outside the top 3:
1. National polling

Of course they will choose the 1 metric that places him out side the top 3.

The media blackout has been in 99 percent mode for two or three days now. Not a word today about the endorsemnet, but lots of media coverage on Huntsman dropping out.

Perry is on the outskirts.

The good thing is there is only 5...the stage won't be that wide. With 7 it is a lot wider and more spread out. With 5...you really aren't that far from anybody else.
