A lot of people, Santorum for example, claim Ron Paul won't stand up for morality or traditional marriage. I think this is a very good rebuttal we can all use:

Why don't you boil it down to a simple statement about Ron Paul. The plain fact is he would defend morality, but has a principle that he won't trade a moral good of, say, marriage, for a moral evil of, say, misuse of power. The other candidates will continue to bring power to themselves, and just like many tyrannies in the past, there will be safety and protection, at least for the many. But that is doomed to failure. Ron Paul ultimately wants marriage at the Church level, so that to me seems like the ultimate defense of marriage.

When talking to secular or liberal friends, don't forget to point out that Ron believes that marriage should be a church or "private contract" issue.
