We need a well timed surge...Hopefully, he'll wait until the 18th...

I suspect tomorrow though....

I now know from Iowa that last minute surges can lead to victory.

I wouldn't expect a jump.

Fuzy math.

Well then what's the point of endorsing someone if you don't think it will help?

Hopefully Demint will follow up shortly (say Wednesday, Thursday or Friday)

Demint said he won't endorse. Hes been very fair to Paul though and has stuck up for him in a number of media appearances.

What does Tom Davis think about foreign policy though?

Now Demint endorsing on Thursday so it all sinks in Thursday night and all day Friday for SC voters could give us a 5 point bump, putting us in second place.

Demint isn't endorsing, very sad that he has been nice to Mitt "I support taxpayer funded abortions" Romney

There's still no concrete proof that he's going to endorse Ron Paul.

Demint supported the Iraq war and criticized Obama for "downplaying" the terrorist threat. Why would he ever endorse Ron Paul? Seems like he too likes Ron Paul, except on foreign policy.

Actually, 3.17 points. Get it right.

If he is endorsing RP, I hope it is well timed.

Feels like the Sorenson endorsement actually hurt the RP campaign.

Not endorsing any one does not preclude DeMint from saying who he is going to vote for in the SC primary

What does Tom Davis think about foreign policy though?

He is a non-interventionist, but doesn't like some of the rhetoric Ron uses at times. I think the majority of Republicans agree with him on that.

People said Davis was worth a 2% bump and that DeMint would be 5%-10%.

What will Demint think when heaps of praise and money roll into Davis?

I agree. Not because of it being him. I think had he not endorsed anybody, then endorsed Ron...he probably could have picked up some votes, especially in his district. However, he was with Bachmann and the distraction it caused ended up stopping RP's surge (along with the pushing of the newsletters). I don't blame Sorenson, but the distraction it caused hurt.

However, Davis won't cause a distraction, he hasn't endorsed anybody else nor worked with any campaign. It can only help. I'm curious as to see how much it really could help, I'm not as optimistic as seeing a 3+ point pump like everyone else.

Hopefully the campaign pushes this endorsement hard. They can't just sit back and hope it does some good.
