For those in the Greenville, SC and nearby areas, I think this forum is a great place to go and support Dr. Paul. Without our help he will probably have limited support in the forum. The other candidates that signed the Personhood Pledge will be there (Gingrich, Santorum, and Perry) along with Ron Paul.

Many on this board might not agree 100% with the Personhood Pledge, but I feel it is important to show Dr. Paul support in this Forum. It will likely be heavily attended by the other candidates' supporters if we don't attend. I registered and it appears to be a free event with early registration. The event is on Wednesday, January 18th.

My wife and I will be traveling from East Tennessee to the event. I have a feeling it will be one of the few venues where we could meet Ron Paul and hear the other candidates speak up close and personal.

This is a great opportunity to expose Santorum. He attacked Ron on his pro live positions.

That is exactly what I was going to do regarding Article X and their funding of Planned Parenthood. However, it looks like Dr. Paul isn't going to attend the event anymore. He is going to Washington DC to vote on the debt ceiling.

Does anyone know the status of this? Is Paul going to fly back from Washington to make this event, or is he going to cancel it. I've been calling and trying to find out but no one seems to know anything, and Personhood USA still has him as confirmed to attend.

UPDATE: WYFF4 (local SC news) apparently has just reported that Paul WILL be attending the forum.

UNC08 - I registered for tickets, but won't be able to make it. I had two tickets reserved under my name (Jay Fradd) from Kodak, TN. If you need anything else PM me. If you go there they MIGHT allow you to pick up tickets under my name?

By the way, I got an e-mail from them asking for questions in their forum. I got notification that one of my questions would be posed by their panel. The question was to Rick Santorum and was:

In the past you have voted for bills that include the funding of Article X which gives approximately 25% of its funding toward Planned Parenthood. Although the language states that it isn’t to go toward funding of abortion directly, it enables Planned Parenthood a much larger budget to fund abortions. Conservative leaders such as Mike Pence (among many others) have spoken out about this in the past. As President, would you veto any bill, no matter the circumstances, that has unconstitutional spending measures such as this and helps contribute to an organization well known for providing abortions?

It was my point to call him out on voting for Planned Parenthood funding in the past and put him in a situation that would make him veto any bill like this as President no matter what the rest of the bill said. I thought it was a decent question, but I'm sure he can weasel his way out of it. I thought it was about the most aggressive question that could be asked that would still be asked by the forum moderator(s).

Whoever goes there, please make sure you expose Santorum.

Santorum also endorsed Arlen Spectre, a pro-abortion senator.

Will this be televised, on CSPAN at least?

Based on the campaign's press release it looks like he is returning to SC on Thursday morning. So, if this is correct, it looks like he won't be there at the Personhood Forum. I don't have any firm confirmation, but the press release below should be a pretty good source.

I'm not sure, is Ron going to be there now? He's in DC voting against the debt ceiling and filing a bill to repeal NDAA
