If president BHO deems that he's got to torture somebody, including by crushing the testicles of the person's child, is there no law that can stop him?

The United States Constitution.

Due process, cruel and unusual punishment, and all that. The problem is that no law can stop those with the most guns.

This is nothing new, actually. Tricky Dick Nixon was known to declare "If the President does it, it's not illegal," where it = anything he wanted to do.

Without people willing to enforce the Constitution, it really is just a worthless piece of paper.

The Value of the "Piece of Paper" comes from the Value that People bestow upon it. And if not a single soul in office is willing to protect it (save one), then everything the Constitution was written for has no effect on any of our lives.

The acts performed by our progressively more dangerous presidents and those in office could easily fall into the category of "High Crmes and Treason" against the people of the US of A. This is why getting Ron Paul and others like him into very high positions in government is so important. It gives us ground to stand on, to hold, and to fight for. Lets put it this way. Ron Paul becomes President. Some other member of Congress proposes a bill that somehow further erodes our Constitutionally Protected Rights. Ron Paul comes out and says something to the effect that such a bill is so dangerous that people should act to immediately remove accused person from office. How many people do you think would go after that individual? Something like a Vote of No Confidence, not Violence. Now, think about the opposite extreme. A guy on a wooden crate on a street corner calls for the same thing. How many people do you think would even pay any attention to that person?

Our strength comes from those who Represent us, not themselves. When we are Represented in our Government, our Government still doesnt have a great deal of respect for the People, but they dont try to get away with the shit that they try to right now, with levels of impunity that only hostage takers have.
