So, who will you be voting for on November 6th 2012? :)

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Reuters) - The Republican Party is faced with a dilemma: how to handle a popular, unorthodox presidential candidate who wants to do away with the Federal Reserve and end U.S. military presence overseas.

Ron Paul's libertarian philosophy is resonating with voters and senior Republicans say the party needs to show respect for him and grant some concessions to make sure he does not run as a third party candidate, and take his supporters along with him.

With a tough battle ahead to prevent Democratic President Barack Obama's re-election in November, Republican politicians and strategists say Texas Congressman Paul - who has spouted his anti-establishment views for decades without much success - must now be listened to, at least in part.

Platform changes and a speech at the convention? Um, no thanks, we'll take the nomination.

We will not be pacified with these little token gestures. We've been screwed too many times. We want the nomination.

Does anyone on this site believe the republicans will honor any new platform?

no way, they've already broken their pledge to uphold the constitution. Newt has violated many marriage oaths.

Why would anyone be so naive as to vote for any of them besides RP when they have shown for decades they are diametrically opposed to our stances?

How to handle him? The tone is as if he's a nuisance. Vote for him, that's how.

I hate using someone's personal life against them but it's true. If Newt can't even be faithful to his wife, there's no way he will be faithful to his country.

Look, we know anyone beholden to Goldman Sachs (Romney) has an opposing agenda.

We also have been serially betrayed by the neocons for decades.

Trust neither. We call the shots and they can either follow or get the hell out of the way.

There is a surprising number of these neo-cons that are bringing up the possibiity of running a 3rd party candidate IF, and IF there is a God, Ron Paul gets the
nomination. Hot-head Hannity keeps bringing up gangsta Trump. What a hypocrite!

No.

One.

But.

Paul (Ron).

There is only one thing that the GOP can do to get me to vote GOP in 2012, make sure Ron is your nominee. If you do so I will expend every ounce of energy left in my body to ensure that he is elected. Otherwise, say hello to Obama's second term.

Who cares about the platform? They don't follow it now, and they won't in the future. So, no, fire all the Neo-Conservatives and Rockefeller types. Either that, or the Paulites bolt and the GOP dies. Without the Paulers a large percentage of the GOP will die in 20 to 30 years, which means death of the party without us young folks. I'm content and happy to see the GOP go the way of the Whigs if they fail to embrace the future.
