Lots of old people I love it! haha doesnt look like 4k in those pictures. I am sure the campaign will post their count. But I bet MSM does what they did to the New Hampshire rally and report there were 1/4 the amount of people that were really there.

Just got back. Those pictures showed just the people sitting down. The real pictures will show you that was only about 1/10th of the people there!

I have no clue how many people were there, but I had no idea there were chairs anywhere. That place was pretty packed.

(HI, just got back from Vegas, they wouldn't let me get near the cameras with my signs.)
Should we remove the old threads with number predictions like this.
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=25413
You know all the old threads whre we predicted a hundred thousand will be used against us. Five thousand is great, but we don't want them to say that we had 5% of the turn out we expected.

I went to the Mars, Pa rally and I think they said there were 2000+ at that rally. The crowd at this rally looked to be at least twice that size. I would say 5000 is a safe bet, maybe a little conservative. Tops would be 6000.

5,000 sounds reasonable to me. I was located right behind the CNN cameraman and had a pretty good view of everything.

At one point we were singing the national anthem, I sang it with heart, had my head down because I had a lot of mixed emotions flowing through me at the time. After that was over I looked back up, one of the cameras was really at a weird angle, I thought to myself, whats so interesting up there in the sky? Ohhhhh, that would be the lens end I'm looking into. Could be interesting.

I got all choked up, when we were singing. I am not usually emotional, but that was powerful! Hubby was in tears.

Not to burst anyone's bubble especially for the Pittsburgh (Mars, PA) rally, the count (I was up on the press platform and counted the crowd 3 times to verify my count) was about 1200 - 1400 that included all the standing people that would stand still.

Looking at the photos from red state eclectic
http://redstateeclectic.typepad.com I would say about 1800 to max of 3000.

Now I would say this is more than reasonably good - for all the great planning and hard work of the early grassroots people that worked on this rally concept and after the major monkey wrench problems and demands that RP National HQ caused one can only say this was a success and should help the election of Ron Paul.

We need to be real and strive to grow day by day (and WE are by leaps and bounds!)

It could have been HUGE but that is water over the dam - Maybe next time?

The campaign really needs a Press Release on the numbers that attended.

Link to my thread with pics. I'd put it at 3-4,000, but I'm no expert.

If you told me to choose between 1,500 and 5,000, I'd say much closer to 5,000.

That's it? You're only showing about 1/3 of the crowd. I was hoping to see myself.
