Gingrich with 31% of the 18-29 vote? What's with that?
Good news is, Paul is pretty much tied with Santorum for third.
Paul: 13.3
Santorum: 13.5
We should be able to secure third place nicely.

was posted yesterday i believe, but 13% is not bad at all. Much more than i was anticipating. Field is very, very crowded. If we could get to 25% (doubt it) we have an outside (very outside!) chance of pulling something like this off.
This is great news. 1st in SC is a pipe-dream. With any luck Romney falls a bit and Gingrich takes first, and Paul places a respectable 3rd. Would be better if he managed to get 2nd and beat Romney, but lets not get too crazy.

I am actually really happy with those numbers, I don't see second place as being out of reach

We've tripled our support since last time around.
Perhaps we'll see a small boost from our finish in NH on top of what we have here.

Too young to remember the 90's.

Get to the campuses and near the military bases ASAP. The bluehairs are only interested in status quo.

Too young to either remember or care about the political climate of the 90's.
Fixed
We would need to be polling in the 20% range with GOP only voters to win SC. Dems and Independents would put Ron Paul over the top and we would officially become a 2 man race. Santorum and Gingrich and Perry would be forced to drop out; if not after SC, then after Florida.
Ron NEEDS MONEY PEOPLE!!! 10's of millions of dollars.
We need to throw him a MONEY NUKE!

Why did they only include 4% democrats? It's an open primary, with no D nomination battle. I couldn't find the stats for '96, but i'd expect much larger D turnout.

By this poll, SC is anyone's game. Stuff to watch is how the Newton Leroy ad plays out against Mitt and of course the debate Monday. I still see SC as an uphill battle to snag second or first for Paul.

I live in a North Carolina county that borders SC. A former county GOP chair told me that Santorum has the most complete county-by-county organization in SC, ahead of Mitt and Ron. He doesn't understand why RP hasn't come anywhere near the Rock Hill/Fort Mill area in order to get a media bump from the Charlotte papers and TV stations.
