Vote in the hypothetical poll. I'm curious to see the results.

It doesn't matter who becomes president. This suckers going down. If you want a crash landing, Romney or Obama are your men. If you want a soft landing... RON PAUL!

This is the obvious answer =) I was curious to see how people would vote though after discussing this with a family member. He's an anybody-but-Obama type and won't accept that things could potentially get worse.

The economy will get much worse regardless of who is in.

The key is who provides the foundation for a real RECOVERY.

Hint: It involves demolishing the status quo of the Fed and the hyper taxation of the IRS.

This sucker is going down, but remove the counterfitting operation and outright theft of people's money and the recovery will come much quicker.

And it can't come soon enough. I'm launching a new business this year and I'm honestly scared about it succeeding due to the economy =/

I hope the IRS goes down soon so I can keep my tax money and invest it in my business.

I'd suggest finding as many business partners willing to deal in alternate currencies as possible. Those are the people who will likely be able to afford your services as things further deteriorate.

Anyone with a state of mind that has them open to competing currencies is probably 1) intellectually superior to the average person 2) sitting with "cash like" reserves of alternate forms of money for SHTF/USD failure.

I said stay the same. Won't address the core issues (central banking, money-printing) but will try to cut some spending. Might be able to cut a little bit. On the net, will stay the same (which isn't saying much, because things suck... bad.)

He's better than Obama, but that isn't much of a compliment. No more lesser of two evils. NO ONE BUT PAUL.

If you are driving a car, and that car is headed for a tree a mile down the road, it is still headed for a tree. Right now, we are in a financial decline, so staying the same to me means the exact same thing as "continuing to get worse", if that analogy makes any sense. Now, if we listen to the Main Stream Media, when they tell us "the economy is improving", it can be translated as "getting worse less quickly". There has not been any real improvement to our economy in decades, it just depends on the spin that the Media or whoever the present Talking Head is.

How is he better?

I keep hearing that, but I know this man's record from Mass. and I can see no fundamental difference.

The key policies that need to be addresed: wars and occupations; banking, monetary and spending issues; and putting the brakes on the police state.

None of these will change under a Romney administration. They will remain the same.

Same pile of crap, different color.

The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers.

Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.

From having watched this through the past 50+ years, I am going to say you are correct. People have the illusion, changing from one party leadership to another is going to change things. They have been doing this for so long, one would think they would finally figure out by now, when you do the same thing over and over again, and get the same results, nothing is going to change till they finally vote in someone who would actually change things.

Voting for Romney is just continuing the same insanity we have been seeing for decades. Presently, there is no difference between the two parties except for how they continue to increase the size of government and the spending involved. One group does it by socialism and the other by military expansionism. Both encroach upon the liberties of the people and grow the size of government.

There is only one choice this time around and that is to vote out the status quo establishment government and vote in a real change.

No one but Paul will change anything.

I thought he was from Michigan. And you can see what a shit hole Detroit is.

The Economy is going to get much worse regardless.
Only Ron Paul sees the real cause and path to restoration.
